- A friend of mine calls me out of the blue ....... stating that's he has spotted what looks like a rather unusual bit of furniture ....... slight problem ....or two .
No.1 the goodies are approx 1 hours drive ( the way I drive anyway ) ..... and we are still waiting for the OK / clearance , from a staff member ...... and then we can load them up and return to the shop ...... part two .....which hasn't been filmed yet .....will hopefully show the process of how we sometimes acquire any choice items that's we have for sale in our emporium at the Glasgow Barras ...

Great to see you back Gary. I could watch these all over an over again. Real people , real diversity , real commmunity spirit. Down here in the south people are so cold an fake , markets aren't like this at all , it's all about doing a number on the next man unfortunately. :( I will have to visit the barras before I get too old. What i could do with them chairs! I am an upholsterer with my own shop in Canada!. I used to work at Brown's chair frame for years, ( Gary reminds me of Tam Mac Court) down Govanhill way

You could be on to something here. The furniture they are making today is absolute crap. I like working on the antiques and old heritage pieces.
You must come across some old beauties for sure. I like your idea, you take pictures, I give them a thumbs up, into the container they go.
I would like to investigate the possibility ....... I have associates who export containers to the USA...... but they keep there knowledge to themselves ...... watch this space :)
I have being thinking this all day and I like the idea. My wife and I having been talking about me retiring a bit earlier. We just set up a workshop at home here so I can give up the shop in the city. I like the thought of picking away at nice pieces and not been so stressed with how busy work is right now. ( booking into June). My Father, and his Grandad all have been in the business.
I am trying to figure it out right now.
