As a French person who lives in Italy and lived also in the Germany, Japan, Argentina, and the Netherlands, here is my subjective appreciation : Germany, Belgium, Greece, Italy, Portugal, the UK, Canada, Argentina and the USA, and probably Danemark and Sweden, because of their society, but I have never been there. The Netherlands, Japan, Spain, Ireland, Russia are also countries I feel connected to. Well, there is always a way to feel connected with a culture, be it Afghanistan, Rwanda or Uruguay!

Ma come molti Romani DOC, faccio fatica a sopportare alcuni aspetti quali lo scarso senso civico nei rapporti tra sconosciutii e anche nello svolgere il proprio lavoro come si deve, in modo che funzioni la città (amministrazione, mezzi pubblici ma anche negozi o artigiani). Insomma, mi dispiace il fatalismo che consiste più o meno nel dire quando qualcosa va storto "Tanto siamo a Roma" o "Roma non sarebbe Roma se funzionasse come Zurigo o Parigi".

I have some french friends and usually we joke abuot the rivality and the stereotypes between italians and french.

I lived in the South of France, but I stopped over many times in Paris and visited several other cities. It's a country I really love, because of its people's kindness and its social system which fairer than in many other places. I'd heard "French" are arrogant and that they dislike speaking foreign languages, but such dumbass are everywhere and my experience was way better than that. They tried to speak English or Spanish (my language) when I didn't understand something. Actually almost every youngster I met could hold a conversation in English and some were brilliant in Spanish.
