A warning to those watching… Despite the previewer saying that the original series is, “primarily known for” things like impactful choices and branching narratives… it’s… absolutely not. Please do not go into Stalker expecting something like Fallout, which is what I believe the previewer is projecting onto this game. I’m not saying there won’t be choices but what the original series is primarily known for is being an unforgiving, intensely atmospheric, survival horror shooter with a a living and dynamic world to explore. The series is much less about curated story beats and much more about the experience of simply existing within the zone and getting lost in the atmosphere. It’s an incredible experience unlike anything else out there, and all you Stalkers new to the Zone are in for quite the treat. ☢️

I hope you understand what I mean because I'm also trying not to spoil it for anyone who maybe didn't play it yet. But anyways I do agree that we do have a decent amount of choice to make in that game.

My uncle was a game tester for clear sky. Unfortunately he passed but I remember visiting the country and sleeping over at his block as a kid, he gave me a copy of the game to take home and let me play it on his pc. They really do create a whole different world. Can’t wait to play a new stalker game :)

The fact I'm recognizing some of the most mundane looking locations from this from the original game is a hell of a nostalgia dopamine injection to my little stalker brain.
All the old devs are gone, the old devs were Russian, theyve been replaced by Ukrainian devs that hate the game, and the fact it was made by Russians, it will not be good.
After the documentary they released shocasing the development cycle after the war started, I'm just glad they finished. Nothing but respect for the devs.

Exactly. Also the Zone does not care about you as a player, which is part of the reason I like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. myself, as you are but insignificant little thing trying to survive in it's otherworldly existence. If you fail and die, life in the Zone just goes forward nonetheless.

I started playing Stalker Call of Pripyat yesterday in anticipation of Stalker 2, and it’s impressive how good a 10 year old game can be. Can’t wait for stalker 2
The documentary on this studio was pretty epic and now I'm counting down the days till I can hit that "launch" button on my deluxe edition of STALKER 2 🔥
When I first entered the zone I was a child. Hours of suspense, emotion, and joy. Now I return as a man. I'm going to squeeze everything out of this game.
Really stoked for this ! When Call of Pripyat came out in 2010 I had not even finished graduation. Now when Heart of Chornobyl will be out on 20th of November, I hope to have finished my PhD thesis before it comes out Lets go !

Back in the day, this series was my favorite and I was only 17 years of old when I played my first stalker game and now I am 32 so very excited to play this masterpiece of a game again.
Damn the level of geometry in some of those character models is mind blowing, lighting and atmosphere looks amazing too. I waited for this game so long I forgot I was waiting...

To those who played Anomaly or GAMMA mod. Please don't expect this game would be those mods. Those mods are completely overhauled the game into different game, so don't expect it like a hardcore sandbox survival game. SOC CS COP are horror shooter games

It is outstanding how developers from the country at war made a phenomenal project compared to the western one. I really missed good shooter these months. Plus, I heard that GSG helps sometimes ukranian military forces so it was +1 for me to buy Deluxe edition pre order😅 Glory to Ukraine and GSG specifically!

Looking forward to this. I will be a bit of a pessimist though. Two things I'm worried about the most: Size of the 'open world' and if it is truly open enough for us to have fun exploring. The AI and how it reacts to our presence and its position in the world. Original stalker AI was pretty decent at creating the illusion of inhabiting the zone with other scavengers and the modding scene really expanded upon that. The focus here definitely seems to be the narrative and I hope the story hasn't taken away from the survival open-worldness of Stalker.

The only thing that honestly I don't like is the UI. I'm a huge fan of the previous UI/HUD in the previous titles, and this one I find it kinda off? I hope it's the community release a UI retexture or something, maybe something like the G.A.M.M.A. interface. But this game looks stunning, and like it's a pre-render because how good it looks. I'm so excited to be able to try it!
@@shrineguard2778 what's more impressive is that aggressive rapidly charging dogs are getting caught in the anomaly momentarily - but the slowly moving Fleshes have enough time to recognise the presence of anomaly in front of them due to lower movement speed, which is why they adjust their route in order to not get trapped. That's what caught my eye & it's great 👌🏻

Thanks for the info. Disappointed that the reviewer had never played any of the original games. This game would be better suited for a player with insight and experience with the lore and back story of this epic game. Love the reference to The Wizard of Oz.
My first pre ordered game, usually I'm don't like shooter games, they're too linear, boring, scripted, gameplay is predictable and world is boring, but stalker is really feels different and I believe that stalker 2 will set a new bar for open-world shooter games. I'm from Ukraine and it's cool that our developers are making such a real cool game and it's good that it's coming out in game pass on Xbox consoles, so a lot of people will really learn about stalker, I hope the developers will have time to fix the game's problems before the release and the game will not be subject to much criticism due to the fact that the developers will not have time to fix the bugs before the release, although in any case a lot of people will see the game, the bugs will be fixed with patches after a while, DLC will be released and the game will gain popularity and hopefully it will bypass metro in popularity because stalker is cooler and it was originally the father of metro, although many do not know this

Really interested what they will do with Strider, a very much side character from CoP (the 3rd stalker game) and a little fearfull how they will fill the gaps between the maps so they can make it "open world" and how he fraction system will work if there is one at all. Also that i will get skins for singleplayer weapons makes me nervous...i just want CoP in more modern and with some of the Anomaly features alongside some new places to discover between all the nostalgic old stuff.

Goes from SOC straight to COP never mentioning Clear sky while showing a cutscene from CS. TO be fair it is mentioned that the reviewer stated they never played the original games but um do some research, typical rookie. Oh and hearing Strider fully voiced gave me chills, if you know you know.
ya i was prity shocked when he skiped clear sky. which was the really more ambusesh game even if it had flaws the AI and complex battles between them was what made it so, interesting and hard. aka being bandit fraction and getting to the end, peak difficult and reward. i worry the new version, lacks the kind of intesting non scripted complex AI interaction which may infact brick your game, lol. the best is a possablity that leads you to a real "game over"

@@happybluedog ya, i really like the mod LFO, (last fallout overhaul) which i feel fixes most the issue, and if you want to tweak it abit more or remove some bits he had you can. (i mean if you know basic moding). i also really want to try new released "Dead Sky". i find CS is more intresting to do the more complex AI, and better render. no other game really has the kind of AI like CS were they battle over the land takign stuf over, and likely having big impacts on the game (inlcuding bricking your plot). which i find intresting. i also like playing with the debuger to boost one fraction abit and preform weird. actions. nothing like one day coming back to see your beloved trader killed by one fraction so you go on a west of revenge sneaking into the base before trigger the enemy" status letting you pull a gun out (throw agranded into a door, beofre it shuts, get in yourself, don't die, and start cleanzing! haha etc. no other game, gliching wars, breaking the game is a joy. and outcomes are unknown. eveythign else is just liek any other game, some plot, some bad guys. some guns, whaver.

@@happybluedog ya i do hope so. but lets just say i won't put to much pause on it. the resion why there so many mods is the source code of multi builds was leaked and realsed multi times. this gave people the ablity to write complex or real verisons mods extentions to the game engine. as for the use of Unreal engine, idk. i don't really like it very much i feel games have a feel to them that use it. its systems have issue, (we tried using it in our own pipline mind you i work filmvfx/animation soft eng. not games but theirs aspects of the engine i feel come with hangups and sacrifes, can you craft amzzing envrometns sure. and physcis and lighting render engines are decent for sure if not "Good". great. but things like sub systme magment and AI. idk. will see. but i don't think it can really do it. the engine gets boged down and how it handles entities etc, seems to have alot of limits. ingranded in the glacy c++ undergound system. unless they relase the source code which they wont. and honestly they shoulda built an egnine from the ground up in somethign like rust. (or bevy). feel your going to find limits to what can be layed onto the game. mabye ill be proven wrong. but. my intution on this does not really give me to much hope. atleast not anytime soon.
For those who played the STALKER series this is probably going to be a very good game. I just wonder what my, and for those who are hardcore Anomily MOD players,what their opinion will be. Anomaly having a lot more immersive things added to the base Stalker game, I'm worried that this won't have that much detail. This is just a thought that runs through my mind.
Stalker long time fan here, I must admit I hope there will be at least mechanics to upgrade/custom armors and weapons like in COP, I'm not exptecting any craft even if it could be nice but I think it better suits a freeplay mod like Anomaly GAMMA. Curious about how A-Life will behave too. A-Life along so many mechanics evolved so much through the modding community, the best modding community ever BTW, damn they even modified the Core from 32 bits to 64 bits (o7 Searge!) , allowing sooo much possibilities of modding, which led to anomaly and its modpacks. Can't wait to see what incredible mods they will make on Stalker 2.
@@Seregloki those mods only exit cuz the engine code was leaked, and posted multi times. this time a) they using unreal b) their not realseing the sorce code. so don't hold your breath for "cool" mods like that. its just not going to be somethign that happens. unless something or somone relases the code.

I enjoyed anomaly and gamma, but at the same time I understand that this is not a Mod, and another installment of the original games. Based off of the last 3 games, the new stalker looks really good to me so far.

I started playing Stalker Call of Pripyat yesterday in anticipation of Stalker 2, and it’s impressive how good a 10 year old game can be. Can’t wait for stalker 2
The documentary on this studio was pretty epic and now I'm counting down the days till I can hit that "launch" button on my deluxe edition of STALKER 2 🔥

Other videos people say it doesn’t look as good as gamma or anomaly, and it should play as those two.

Back in the day, this series was my favorite and I was only 17 years of old when I played my first stalker game and now I am 32 so very excited to play this masterpiece of a game again.

To those who played Anomaly or GAMMA mod. Please don't expect this game would be those mods. Those mods are completely overhauled the game into different game, so don't expect it like a hardcore sandbox survival game. SOC CS COP are horror shooter games

Why has almost none of the Stalker 2 Game Reviewers played The Trilogy before hand? This is kinda Mandatory for Stalker 2.

Looking forward to this. I will be a bit of a pessimist though. Two things I'm worried about the most:
Size of the 'open world' and if it is truly open enough for us to have fun exploring.
The AI and how it reacts to our presence and its position in the world.
Original stalker AI was pretty decent at creating the illusion of inhabiting the zone with other scavengers and the modding scene really expanded upon that. The focus here definitely seems to be the narrative and I hope the story hasn't taken away from the survival open-worldness of Stalker.
No matter how positive the preview sounds, keep in mind its IGN, so final review score of 7 incoming..

Those enemies sure drop quick even at the stalker difficulty, i wonder how deadly the master difficulty will be
The only thing that honestly I don't like is the UI. I'm a huge fan of the previous UI/HUD in the previous titles, and this one I find it kinda off? I hope it's the community release a UI retexture or something, maybe something like the G.A.M.M.A. interface.
But this game looks stunning, and like it's a pre-render because how good it looks. I'm so excited to be able to try it!

Good preview but it's funny how the player kept talking about luring a mutant in an anomaly and not once in the footage could he do it xD
I tried to show it... the dog got caught in it when I'm showing this bit but it was kind of off camera.

@@shrineguard2778 what's more impressive is that aggressive rapidly charging dogs are getting caught in the anomaly momentarily - but the slowly moving Fleshes have enough time to recognise the presence of anomaly in front of them due to lower movement speed, which is why they adjust their route in order to not get trapped. That's what caught my eye & it's great 👌🏻

My first pre ordered game, usually I'm don't like shooter games, they're too linear, boring, scripted, gameplay is predictable and world is boring, but stalker is really feels different and I believe that stalker 2 will set a new bar for open-world shooter games. I'm from Ukraine and it's cool that our developers are making such a real cool game and it's good that it's coming out in game pass on Xbox consoles, so a lot of people will really learn about stalker, I hope the developers will have time to fix the game's problems before the release and the game will not be subject to much criticism due to the fact that the developers will not have time to fix the bugs before the release, although in any case a lot of people will see the game, the bugs will be fixed with patches after a while, DLC will be released and the game will gain popularity and hopefully it will bypass metro in popularity because stalker is cooler and it was originally the father of metro, although many do not know this

first thing modders will fix, first of so many.
Really interested what they will do with Strider, a very much side character from CoP (the 3rd stalker game) and a little fearfull how they will fill the gaps between the maps so they can make it "open world" and how he fraction system will work if there is one at all. Also that i will get skins for singleplayer weapons makes me nervous...i just want CoP in more modern and with some of the Anomaly features alongside some new places to discover between all the nostalgic old stuff.

I like games like this that doesn't make you feel overpowered even in late game. It makes it more exciting and thrilling!
Goes from SOC straight to COP never mentioning Clear sky while showing a cutscene from CS. TO be fair it is mentioned that the reviewer stated they never played the original games but um do some research, typical rookie. Oh and hearing Strider fully voiced gave me chills, if you know you know.
ya i was prity shocked when he skiped clear sky. which was the really more ambusesh game even if it had flaws the AI and complex battles between them was what made it so, interesting and hard. aka being bandit fraction and getting to the end, peak difficult and reward. i worry the new version, lacks the kind of intesting non scripted complex AI interaction which may infact brick your game, lol. the best is a possablity that leads you to a real "game over"
@@voyageproper CS has a bad rap in the community over the other games in the series but I find is a flawed gem. I hops that Scar has a return in the new game, I found his character intriguing and wanted to know how is neurological disorder occurred/progressed.
@@happybluedog ya, i really like the mod LFO, (last fallout overhaul) which i feel fixes most the issue, and if you want to tweak it abit more or remove some bits he had you can. (i mean if you know basic moding). i also really want to try new released "Dead Sky". i find CS is more intresting to do the more complex AI, and better render. no other game really has the kind of AI like CS were they battle over the land takign stuf over, and likely having big impacts on the game (inlcuding bricking your plot). which i find intresting. i also like playing with the debuger to boost one fraction abit and preform weird. actions. nothing like one day coming back to see your beloved trader killed by one fraction so you go on a west of revenge sneaking into the base before trigger the enemy" status letting you pull a gun out (throw agranded into a door, beofre it shuts, get in yourself, don't die, and start cleanzing! haha etc. no other game, gliching wars, breaking the game is a joy. and outcomes are unknown. eveythign else is just liek any other game, some plot, some bad guys. some guns, whaver.

@@happybluedog ya i do hope so. but lets just say i won't put to much pause on it. the resion why there so many mods is the source code of multi builds was leaked and realsed multi times. this gave people the ablity to write complex or real verisons mods extentions to the game engine.
as for the use of Unreal engine, idk. i don't really like it very much i feel games have a feel to them that use it. its systems have issue, (we tried using it in our own pipline mind you i work filmvfx/animation soft eng. not games but theirs aspects of the engine i feel come with hangups and sacrifes, can you craft amzzing envrometns sure. and physcis and lighting render engines are decent for sure if not "Good". great. but things like sub systme magment and AI. idk. will see. but i don't think it can really do it. the engine gets boged down and how it handles entities etc, seems to have alot of limits. ingranded in the glacy c++ undergound system. unless they relase the source code which they wont. and honestly they shoulda built an egnine from the ground up in somethign like rust. (or bevy). feel your going to find limits to what can be layed onto the game. mabye ill be proven wrong. but. my intution on this does not really give me to much hope. atleast not anytime soon.

For those who played the STALKER series this is probably going to be a very good game. I just wonder what my, and for those who are hardcore Anomily MOD players,what their opinion will be. Anomaly having a lot more immersive things added to the base Stalker game, I'm worried that this won't have that much detail. This is just a thought that runs through my mind.
Stalker long time fan here, I must admit I hope there will be at least mechanics to upgrade/custom armors and weapons like in COP, I'm not exptecting any craft even if it could be nice but I think it better suits a freeplay mod like Anomaly GAMMA. Curious about how A-Life will behave too.
A-Life along so many mechanics evolved so much through the modding community, the best modding community ever BTW, damn they even modified the Core from 32 bits to 64 bits (o7 Searge!) , allowing sooo much possibilities of modding, which led to anomaly and its modpacks. Can't wait to see what incredible mods they will make on Stalker 2.
@@Seregloki those mods only exit cuz the engine code was leaked, and posted multi times. this time a) they using unreal b) their not realseing the sorce code. so don't hold your breath for "cool" mods like that. its just not going to be somethign that happens. unless something or somone relases the code.
@@voyageproper We'll have mod tools for Stalker 2 so yeah we'll have mods too but probably not overhauls/huge mods like many stalker mods.

I enjoyed anomaly and gamma, but at the same time I understand that this is not a Mod, and another installment of the original games.
Based off of the last 3 games, the new stalker looks really good to me so far.
