Just an idea.
When these guys do the same songs it’s apples and oranges on which you prefer as I don’t think either could really be considered superior. When it comes to this song I definitely prefer Juno’s version, while lyrically I think Alex’s is better, Juno’s delivery is just amazing here really gives the feeling of a struggle.
It really sounds like when it switches to MOTI that the Dream Stone is corrupting his mind compared to Juno's version where it's still the Bowser we all know and love. He's still there, sure but it's as if he'd lose himself the more he had that stone inhaled
So combined the mario bros are fighting a reality warping bowser who's losing his sense of sanity the more he inhaled the dream stone
