Hoooly Moly this scene was really one of the best in the movie. As much as it is really inferior to the games, the one long shot following the falling Nate towards the crate, struggling to pull out the parachute, and then the profound silence directly afterwards... It is just like Kurt Margenau directed it in the original game, and it is AWESOME!

I doubt he'd ever want to do it again any time soon but I don't doubt he used it to help feel Peter's emotion.

While they are great, I do recommend buying the Nathan drake collection and start all the way from the first to last, lost legacy is a bonus and can be played any time

Tom is not to blame, but it actually looks fake, especially the gunfight. Action is decently paced but that is quite bad choreography for a fight, let alone a gun fight. It’s more comedy-oriented than action oriented. But I agree Tom does his part very well and he’s not to blame here. If you wanna see some good action movies without this much CGI and actually good fight choreography look up Mission impossible Fallout (especially bathroom fight scene, but not only that) and Equalizer. There are others too but these come up first in mind.
The parkour, the action, even the sound effects of the guns all look and feel just like the games. Whether the acting will be on par with the games, that might be another matter entirely. Since this scene was mostly action, there wasn’t enough time to hear any acting. So, I will hold back my excitement until I see something that says otherwise.

I watch action adventure movies for the same reason I consider Uncharted to be my favorite 4 games ever. (I could probably argue that Jak and Daxter is my favorite trilogy... Maybe The Arkham games) They're just so fun and give me a great escape into a world full of mystery and fantasy. Coupled with great characters with great performances and personalities (Cough* Chloe is the best thing about Uncharted other than Drake cough*) So what if its not grounded in reality? You played the games to escape, to explore and to dream about hunting a treasure and parkouring up a train while simultaneously losing blood after being shot lol. Not hating on anyone's opinions... It's hard to say just from the trailers and this short scene, but so far, I don't see in this movie what hooked me from the games, and that's the characters. I just see Tom Holland dressed as Nathan Drake and Wahlberg in the background. I'm sure the movie will be a fun ride, it looks like it'll be a fast paced action piece with good production, but I'm skeptical they'll nail the charm and the feel of the characters.

One thing I like is how they included the slapstick nature of the games. Nathan is always getting hurt, tripping, getting slammed into walls ect.

The Vita game is essentially a prequel but made by a different developer. And the one on PS4 is an expansion (stand-alone).

Easily one of my favorite action sequences in the game. I hope they also have the one in the ship wreck in uncharted 3, and the train wreck in uncharted 2
I can’t wait to see this movie next month, I know a lot of people aren’t to fond of Tom & Mark playing Drake & Sully, but I can’t wait (also never had a PlayStation before, so I never had the chance to play Uncharted)
I’m excited to see how Holland pulls off Drake’s priceless personality. I hope he nails it.

Those people just can't admit it actually looks decent. This sequence literally looks as if it could have been from a future Uncharted game
@@eighthlegofthephantomtroup1842 No, it looks decent. The scene is taken from UC3 and they've done a good job translating it into live action. As a fan of the games, that's not my issue. It's hard to say just from the trailers and this short scene, but so far, I don't see in this movie what hooked me from the games, and that's the characters. I just see Tom Holland dressed as Nathan Drake and Wahlberg in the background.
I'm sure the movie will be a fun ride, it looks like it'll be a fast paced action piece with good production, but I'm skeptical they'll nail the charm and the feel of the characters.
@@angie44551 The drake witty charm. Holland has none of that. I will enjoy the movie but despise that it's considered an uncharted series. Could have been some stand alone similar fiction but whatever.
The biggest thing that Spider-Man and Nathan Drake have in common is That they both have a habit of doing jokes at bad times! Can't wait to see Tom Holland as Nate he is gonna Kill It!
