Philippines Lifestyle - Filipinas Cook LEFTOVER Jollibee Fried Chicken Soup?

  • The ladies ate Jollibee for supper last night. I noticed they had purchased WAY too much fried chicken for some reason. This morning, they used that leftover fried chicken to make soup. Man, that fried chicken turned out to be some kind of soggy! Fatima and Kalamansi rated the soup as DELICIOUS. Florentina only rated it as GOOD. I elected not to vote on this one.

Brother I'm not watching to watch people work. I enjoy watching your family. Mine family is gone and your daughter reminds me of my daughters and my grandkids. I take 4 days off work a month where ever I want in the us. I miss my family .so I watch you and yours. Do what you want it just reminds me of when I was growing up.

You are correct. Your show is unique because of the lifestyle. The village life ect. I think for some of us that are older it's for the nostalgia, the memories of when we were kids and life was slower, simpler and we find that relaxing. The majority of PI vloggers are all about the city life and bars. Your show has improved so much. And the characters of your show kick ass. Where did you hire your actors from? They seem so real. Lol. Looking forward to upcoming grilling episodes.

de-bone the chicken and make bone broth with the bones. Add that broth to the soup instead of water and take that breading off before you throw the chicken meat in. That's how you make an excellent soup

Nothing like waking up at 5:00 a.m. to the street vendors walking down thw street yelling, Balut, balut for sale. I heard it every day in Subic when I stayed in town, it was like hearing reveille on base, simply meaning Get your butt up.

Yes sir, my grandmother used to do something similar..She was raised during the great depression and she would fry chicken and the next day she would de-bone the chicken and either make chicken salad for sandwiches or chicken and dumplings so it would stretch farther for our Family in East Texas.. The big Piney Woods..lol. it actually wasn't bad. I have been a subscriber for 8 years. You have a excellent channel and I find it very helpful and useful. I have intentions of visiting the Philippines once I retire out of law Enforcement. Keep up the good work.. God bless you and your family..

A washer and dryer cost money to run, now you need a second job just to pay the electric/gas bill. There something to be said about doing things for yourself, real life skills. If the world goes dark the Filipino people will survive, that I know, unlike a lot of people in the west who depend solely on machines and whatnot to do everything for them.

My Grandmother had a washing machine she bought in the early 60's You filled it up, washed the clothes, drained it, filled again for rinse and it had a ringer roller gadget on top. She didn't have a dryer until she was very old in the 70's. That washing machine was still going in the late 70's.

You make a very good point, and it's something that's always concerned me - the importation of the "western ways" along with the westerners. We westerners tend to look only at the benefits of our accomplishments, not the damage they leave behind.
The world was in a better place when life was simpler.

Filipinos don’t waste food. If you have left over fried fish, like tilapia. You can make a meal for breakfast using the fish, add some sliced tomatoes, onions, and garlic. Beat a few eggs(scrambled) and add it to your leftover fried tilapia. It’s gonna be very delicious. Trust me. It’s called Sarciadong Isda. 😊

King I like your shows as it brings me back memories of the Seychelles like 40 years ago. I live on a tiny Island about soze 5x3 km granitic with mountains peak. 40 years ago there were no electricity from the grid. People with money buys their own genrators. There were no treated water system from the main supply, all were road side fountains that we children have to go and fetch the water. There were no CR inside the house, 90% of hoises had pit latrine. Fast forward 40 years today 95% all houses are connected to the grid and pit latrine eliminated finished here. The young generations does not know how we lived forty years back. An automatic washing machiing is not a luxury here it is a must, i always buy one spare incase one get damage, people do not even bother to fix it they throw away. This is how change has happened here and the western world have commodity our creole culture that our young generation does not even care of what was for us as traditional dances etcc. That is why i watch your shows of the province life and its People. I qm sure by the time forest G reach 40 years things will change as it has happen here
