I tried multiple different builds only for all of them to end in spectacular failure. After seeing this I tried to convert my quad build to be speed focused and I was able to beat him first try… so thanks for the help!
Nice one. I remember this fight from years ago. tons of fun. Heavy Bi-pedal units aren't always super fun, but they do tend to dominate the Arena in the Nexus-Last Raven years. The reason being that mobility isn't as useful in those games as it is in any other games. So once you hit a certain mobility rating then it starts to have a reduced benifit. My build used to be heavy bi-pedal with either a handheld gernade in my right hand or 40 round bazooka, than then another bazooka in my left hand, or the small left hand gernade launcher. And of course I'd have 2 of the 240 round handguns in my hangar. I think those weapons were tournament banned though.
That linear cannon was no joke lol. I remember on my playthrough that I refused to use it due to the sheer trauma it gave me taking it to the face more times than I care to ever admit
Beating Lucifer legit is a great feat! I think an easier way to beat him is to use either the linear cannon weapon arms or the spread bazooka weapon arms. Those weapon arms also work fairly well against the aerial pulverizer and final Zinaida.
the cheesy way is building an anti-shell tank and outdamaging him with a giant ass back laser cannon. when he gets stuck on landscape, he's done, just like Rimfire
I literally had a build that use speed and damage, it's middleweight biped, but can go up to 500+ kmhr using cbt-fleet (speed depends on weapon equipment) and the EO core that shoots green laser, and a light generator with 4100+ energy supply, no back weapons (unless it's necessary). It's my meta that works well, for me.

Oh wow you just unlock dormant memories of the past age. I remember this guy. I kept him mid-far range so he won't burst me down with whatever he was using. Above all, good job Raven.
If you can beat final boss Zinaida, you can beat Daemon. You're on the right track with the two rifles. The key here is to have two rifles, the rifle orbital core, and an ECM maker on the inside part.
@raynalldoprime Nice. For me its usually using the ECM maker while throwing my missiles at them. Once i'm out of ammo, I purge the missiles and extension for faster mobility. Then finish off with 4 rifles unloading into them. Though for FB Zinaida, I'd have to puge the missiles sooner cause of her verticality.
@raynalldoprime Nope. ECM still works against OP-I opponents. I use the one with 8 rounds. Especially against Daemon. His arena area has a 100 ECM level. And Zinaida's head can't handle too many. By the time 2-3 are deployed, Zinaida starts to panic. I'll boot up my ps2 in a bit and give you my build.
The God motif was very apt for those flying disaster inducers. Mortals literally were incapable of being in the mere presence of them. Fun to pilot though.
Kinda cool watching you improve your strafe dodging skill as the matches go on. I beat him and the rest of the arena first try recently going through Last Raven for the first time, using a build very similar to the one you beat him with, except I used a different core and the B83TP boosters. I also used the 100 ammo rifles instead for less weight. I like speed, outside one build of mine all 5 of my ACs go at least above 400 kph, the dueling AC I used in the arena could go 560 kph, and was strafe hopping at speeds of around 430-470. Heat management is tight but its a lot easier when you’re so fast its like piloting a NEXT.
Got tired of dodging around his attacks so I simply showed up with my heavily armored quad leg AC with the same back guns as Lucifer and my two heavy machine guns on both hands. Stayed behind one of those huge pillars and whenever the guy showed up I just blasted the hell out of him. He was down in a matter of seconds. Anyway that was fun to watch. I'm glad I found this channel.
I was all about tank + LIC10 back in the day. Although my main for arena was mucho small missiles, two rifles, and the rifle EO core. As it was the style at the time. Tournament scene (in the midwest anyway) actually banned the fastest boosters because of how much of the strategy in LR relied on proper spacing. Honestly I thought the guy who whined about it had too much pull and it was the only strat that really beat him, but now I'm venting a fifteen year old grudge. Great vid!
I'm gonna have to agree with that person, TP boosters deserved banning in LR tournaments. Their top notch boost power and acceleration made every other booster obsolete in comparison. Banning parts in AC tournaments is of course to take anything obviously overpowered out of the picture, but it's also done to ensure a diversity of viable part choices and builds.
I pretty much finished the hardest missions in the game with a tank + LIC10 and in both arms had two other hard hitting energy weapons. I think in the shoulders I had the extensions that recharged energy but I'm not sure if that extension was only available on Nexus, its been so many years . . .
Somehow I managed to abuse a pillar and beat him with a slow laser cannon sniper tank I made specifically for him. Before that we managed to double KO each other once with my other semi-tanky biped mech that dual wields machine guns and has a solid round EO core and the biggest FCS box I could muster, which smoked damn near everything else in the game. The paths we take.
If i recall on my build. I had the Eye head, the dual Energy EO (mirage lightweight variant), small arms, the legs you used, fleet boosters, high generator, low radiator. dual machine guns, and dual micro missiles with missile extension. barraged him with missiles at the start, then once he got close, burnt him with the dual EOs and machine guns. It was literally a DPS race.
Or you can cheese the AI, his just the same as "crow predator", but stagger build. Just overtake him, go full arc reverse and "merry go round" then your facing his back for several seconds, do this several times, his dead.
as a successor of nineball, word of advice: this guy read you like a book so make use of it, if youre on ground, he will non stop strafing you so lead him to a wall or pillar to softlock him and wait till he run out of ammo, dont challeng him on air you will lose.
Missile Arms make the arena a total joke. Four (4) large missiles incessantly homing on the enemy while you pelt them with back missiles + extension + EO and they *will* fuck up eventually. It only takes 1 missile to halve their HP, overheat them and potentially break their parts.
Getting your leg blown off, or even damaged, is a death sentence, especially in these kind of fights lol That linear cannon will stun lock anything with low stability.
wow! you put in work. i think i just went super heavy, dumped all my speed into tank def and moved to a corner, where his A.I. couldn't try circle strafing me and just hammered him. ( can't remember if energy or shell weapons though)
One of my favourite ways to beat a tough opponent is to make a mirror build and really learn the strength and weaknesses of the AC. From there you can just try to out-skill them or you can make a build that will just shut them down. For Lucifer I think I just did a mirror build and tried to out maneuver those linear shots which are the biggest deciding factor.
Just defeated him a while ago, tbh first time encoutered him was quite rough. The problem didn't come from his speed but his back cannons, they took chunks of my AP in seconds. That was the time I realized I had to out-speed his turning. The problem was if I kept my weight low for speed, there wouldn't be enough fire power to finish him. So after 5 minutes trying everything, I got myself Uranus core, Pixie3, Nix and dual Orbit back cannon. When I revisited him, thing was much easier and he went down quite fast. Just keep maintaining your pressure and circling him so fast that he can't lock on you.

Eventually i came up with a mech that fit every scenario and was still fast enough to deal with pretty much anybody. Even my 2 legged tank was a beast with speed. But again. Every mech had a danger close aspect built into it. Easiest way to deal with this guy. Also im an AC3 original player. There is a specific extension i used that was more useful than i initially believed before installing it. I dont remember the name of it. But its a jet pulse 180 degree or 45 degree turning jet extension. Solves all the problems of having to turn instantly. So when they close the gap all you have to do is pass them, turn around, and proceed to blast them. The A.I. will then try to create some distance in an attempt to turn however this fails if you keep the gap closed. This works literally every time. And if they turn just in time for them to start blasting again you unload a heaping armada of damage at danger close range. Best to keep some backpeices for damge and long range fire for missions though. In the arena i usually went in with bare minimum until i built my dream mech that had almost the same speed as the bare minimum mech i had. Just a strategy

I completely forget what build I used against Lucifer. I played LR earlier in the year and only did the Alliance ending where you beat Jack-O and never fight a single Pulverizer. But I had also done the entire arena.
I'm actually using fudoh and Ananda in the video. But I used vulture2 to maximize my speed along with the back boosters. I think I sat around 520 with just the rifles. I can't check right now, but I'm pretty sure that's what I used.
I want to see you against endgame Zinaida. Infact, the entire ending mission with her in it. I wish you see tackling that. I remember I personally had to deal with it while playing the PSP version, but damn was able to ace that mission using my main AC with its Karawasa MK-II.
Masterpiece Dude makes me dread getting there since i'm finally going through gens 1 through 3 of AC after an entire decade of getting the control scheme through my skull, but nice video, also eurobeat just 👌 May i ask, would you recommend the portable versions of 3, Silent Line and Last Raven over the PS2 originals? To my knowledge they have a few additions, but all apparently suffer from the reduced lock on box, _specially_ Last Raven, so idk
I learned that "Crow predator's" AI is the same as Lucifer, if his in the center of the arena, dash towards him in an arc while starfing and turning, then faces the way you came and you'll be facing his back for several Seconds. I play in mobile so I got it easy to do :p
oh a familiar fight.... why do i remember it at all after all these years is not important*totally not sobbing and crying inside* what i know is key to this fight is moving ↘ instead of ↙ AND lots of stability to resist stagger from linear rifle he is beaten comfortably at average cruising ~400kph AC speed good luck -stale water raven
An extremely fast AC with an EO core and dual shotguns will absolutely destroy him by just having absurdly high dps. Shotguns are frankly really underrated
Although this is irrelevant, i find going do-si-do with Daemon is the most effective tactic imo. Daemon is fast and does ground-and-pound tactics, but he'll have a hard time tracking you as he doesn't turn that efficiently
Holy... I only now understand... I could put second gun in left hand and be more powerfull, but I only used swords (the wave version).... Why I was so stupid at 3 and SL!?
If I had human plus/op intensify like the AI it would not be that challenging. Or you can become speed itself or a tanky an immovable object with overwhelming damage, but in the end they both require skill and some luck to make it work.
Generally speaking, that is indeed the case. Most of FS games become far easier once you acquire game specific knowledge/intelligence (e.g., enemy AI weak points, meta build). Last Raven becomes an exception through throwing BS level of enemies at players, targeting veteran AC enthusiasts as the main audience.
The biggest bullshit in this fight is the fact that linear cannon is just fucking op as fuck. The guarantee stagger forces your AC to immediatley stop doing whatever action you were doing, leaving you open to just get stomped on harder. Doesn't help that Daemon has fucking OP-I, so he not only has unlimited EN, but no Heat, and weight restriction disabled, so even if you destroy his legs, he still boosting at max speed. Also this stage is just complete garbage because the stupid filter that screws with your eyes.
Yeah. The biggest annoyance was the filter. Didn't enjoy it much. Other than that, I didn't mind daemon too much. Just had to learn how to lead his aim and dodge his shots.
I tried to when I didn't have as strong of a CPU for PSX2 (I used the PSP emulator), but I couldn't stand the controls so I dropped it after the first couple missions.

Glad you're having fun! Speed is my preferred way of playing the gen 3. Makes it easier to dodge stuff and feels cool to blaze past people.
@@Lia_Lia381 It's a really good time. They're a little fragile but I did get that AC up to 601 boost speed and it's been a blast to figure out how to manage that
I won't forget absolutely cheesing this fight (I say that but it was luck dependent as well) with the high aperture cannon and heavy eo core with tank legs, took some lucky shots but managed it in the end. I defo want to try and high speed bipedal build against him though at somepoint
Nice vid! Do you think you can post a full breakdown of this build? I'm struggling with him too xD
Congrats on beating Lucifer at his own game.
I completely forget what build I used against Lucifer. I played LR earlier in the year and only did the Alliance ending where you beat Jack-O and never fight a single Pulverizer. But I had also done the entire arena.
try out Lotus or Fudoh generator + Ananda radiator + Gull booster
you get less heat and dont get any heat when overboost
I'm actually using fudoh and Ananda in the video. But I used vulture2 to maximize my speed along with the back boosters. I think I sat around 520 with just the rifles. I can't check right now, but I'm pretty sure that's what I used.
You did it! Straight to the top! I fist pumped one for you at the win screen haha.
armored core fans are goated
I want to see you against endgame Zinaida. Infact, the entire ending mission with her in it. I wish you see tackling that.
I remember I personally had to deal with it while playing the PSP version, but damn was able to ace that mission using my main AC with its Karawasa MK-II.
I actually haven't gone down that ending yet. So that'll probably be something I make a video about in the future.
Pegasus back boosters are the GOAT!
They really are, way over tuned too lol. Pretty sure that’s why they aren’t allowed in Tournaments and most pvp communities for LR.
Masterpiece
Dude makes me dread getting there since i'm finally going through gens 1 through 3 of AC after an entire decade of getting the control scheme through my skull, but nice video, also eurobeat just 👌
May i ask, would you recommend the portable versions of 3, Silent Line and Last Raven over the PS2 originals? To my knowledge they have a few additions, but all apparently suffer from the reduced lock on box, _specially_ Last Raven, so idk
Thanks for the compliment! I can't comment on the portable versions. I've only ever played the console versions. Sorry.
I learned that "Crow predator's" AI is the same as Lucifer, if his in the center of the arena, dash towards him in an arc while starfing and turning, then faces the way you came and you'll be facing his back for several Seconds.
I play in mobile so I got it easy to do :p
i had a hover blade build that could 3 tap most enemies in about 10 seconds
Trustly a worthy try hard opponent
Perfect amount of memeage 😂
I'm just sad for all the money lost here smh
I went from about 7.7 mil to 3.6 mil or something.
more speed!!
oh a familiar fight.... why do i remember it at all after all these years is not important*totally not sobbing and crying inside*
what i know is key to this fight is moving ↘ instead of ↙ AND lots of stability to resist stagger from linear rifle
he is beaten comfortably at average cruising ~400kph AC speed good luck
-stale water raven
His turn speed is weak when your behind him, beat him with the cheese build XD. Then I main that build in the missions.
An extremely fast AC with an EO core and dual shotguns will absolutely destroy him by just having absurdly high dps. Shotguns are frankly really underrated
This was a great time!
Why I was so stupid at 3 and SL!?
i cheesed him with dual linear guns. he's a lot easier to deal with when he spends half the fight nailed to the floor.
He's not that bad!
MISTAKE!
If I had human plus/op intensify like the AI it would not be that challenging.
Or you can become speed itself or a tanky an immovable object with overwhelming damage, but in the end they both require skill and some luck to make it work.
god what was From thinking with that gross filter
To be fair, the psx2 emulator for last raven does make things fuzzy. So it can look worse than on an actual ps2.
Awesome. Nice to know there's another light ac user out there. They can be a bit troublesome at times eh?
Troublesome, but very engaging and fun! My favorite weight-class even if that means 1 or 2 hits is about 5%/10% of my health.
I myself prefer lightweight with speed; if I need durability, I go mid legs, light everything else. My guns are really most of my weight lol
And people saying ninja gaiden games is harder than any fromsoft games
Generally speaking, that is indeed the case.
Most of FS games become far easier once you acquire game specific knowledge/intelligence (e.g., enemy AI weak points, meta build).
Last Raven becomes an exception through throwing BS level of enemies at players, targeting veteran AC enthusiasts as the main audience.
Exceed orbit cores can help kill him faster
Great vid!
Do you play last raven in PSP?
Fighting lucifer and final Zinaida in PSP was a nightmare
Fighting 'em in android ppspp emulator was a HELL
I tried to when I didn't have as strong of a CPU for PSX2 (I used the PSP emulator), but I couldn't stand the controls so I dropped it after the first couple missions.
So epic
Maybe Redline VS Eliminate the Enemy AC?
Hold up nevermind the eurobeat song (as fire as it was), what was that outtro song?
