That epidural needle freaked me out too. I was like 32 weeks pregnant and made the mistake of watching a video on how epidurals are administered and I said nope to that.
Honestly when you go through the most excruciating pain you've ever experienced in your life that epidural needle ain't ish lol. At least that's how I felt 🤣
If you do end up giving birth someday, the pain is so extreme, extreme is an understatement, you’re gonna want that epidural. Even the strongest person that can tolerate great pain will cry for it. Lol I was crying in so much pain. And I’ve never in my life cried from pain lol. I knew I’m gonna want it and I did get the epidural.

Don't get me wrong it was definitely painful, but I didn't feel the need to scream or yell. Although I will say that I needed to get into a peaceful place and my happy place.

I can't even finish the video. I hope the best for you both though, it's obvious what good parents you'll be.

So after I had my son I worked in the Anthropology department at my university. I was informed that when they dig and find old bones they can tell the difference between women with and without children because there is a noticeable difference in the pelvic bone.

It's been well over a decade that I've been watching you now and I just have to say thank you for continuing to consistently vlog and share your journey with us. Feels weird saying congrats since I don't know you, but the vlogs make me feel like I know you enough to say it haha.
It's crazy how different thid experience is for every woman. With my first I felt my first contraction and started packing a bag and getting ready. Got to the hospital two hours after the first contraction and I was already 7 1/2 cm dilated. My second was out within 3 hours of my first contractions.
So amazing that you guys had a doctor you knew and trust ❤️❤️❤️ that’s a big blessing too, trust. So happy you guys have a beautiful beautiful baby girl!!!!
Watching this brings me back so many memories when I had my daughter last year in May. Those contractions are NO JOKE! I know exactly how you feel, Chia! Once I dilated to 6-7 I needed the epidural even though I wanted to go all natural. You did great, mama! Congratulations once again to you and Tim! ❤️

I made it to 7cm before epidural. But! Without my water breaking. When my water broke at 7cm, those contractions were something else and I called for that epidural quick! Chia is a beast for contracting so long with her water broke!! And pushing for less than an hour! I pushed for 2! Chia, you are amazing momma!! 💪
Watching this reminded me of the pain..it feels like, the insides of your body is ripping apart..which literally, basically it kind of is..yay for you two on being new parents!

The shaking was one of the worst part. I didn't know until afterward that it was the epidural. Mine failed so the shaking plus the pain from the contractions was terrible. Luckily I delivered soon after the failed epidural.
I'm definitely very late to the party, but ....Congratulations, guys 🎉🎉 I'm a first-time parent too, and I remember being stunned when my water broke It felt like being in a movie. A full water balloon explosion! No joke lol. I was definitely not expecting it to happen like that, as I was aware most people only experience trickling. A whole 19 hours of labour later, and some cray calm breathing techniques, I became the happiest mom in the world. I can't be more grateful for my daughter. She's such a blessing 💕💕 You're so lucky you got to document your experience. We weren't allowed, unfortunately. But, luckily, we got to record some of my labour, and a little after my daughter's birth. More love, light and blessings to all three of you 💕🥰 Your daughter is so beautiful 💕💕

Her contractions brought back ptsd for me. I lasted until 5 1/2 cm before i begged for the epidural. I swear when the epidural lady came she walked in on a beam of light and clouds! Her contractions brought back ptsd for me. I lasted until 5 1/2 cm before i begged for the epidural. I swear when the epidural lady came she walked in on a beam of light and clouds! I was so happy to see her 🤣🤣🤣. Congratulations on your beautiful bundle and on momma doing a wonderful job during labor! You took it like a G Chia!
