    Finally got a dunk session in Townsville with Jordan and Nils (Hoopmixtape). It just so happened to be probably the hottest day of the year and the humidity made it even worse, pretty much the complete opposite of snowy Canada right now. My 360 btls and under the legs should've fallen but I wasn't having a great session really. I'm going to lift for a while and introduce low ring practice to get more consistent with my technique and vert.

    You killed this session Brodie! Fun to see Nils hitting some dunks too. And that guy with the blue hair is ok too. :)

    Damn.. you’re around 6’3 right? Mind me asking how much you weigh? I’m really trying to find a goal weight for myself.

      Yeah 6'3". At the moment I'm 78kg but about 6 months ago I was 83kg and felt like I was way more explosive and jumping easier.

      Yeah I have some weight to lose haha thanks man. What are your workouts like/what were they like when you were just getting started?

      For my first 5 years it was just 2-3 dunk sessions a week, resting and stretching. Past 2 years I've done weight training sporadically but I'm yet to do proper strength training for more than 4 weeks straight.

      I see, my main problem currently is the weight, gotta stop eating like crap. I can hang on the rims I play on but that's about it. I am around 225 lbs though (102kg). I think if I lost the weight in a healthy way my vert should improve quite a bit, not sure though.

    I'm 6"3 myself and I'm 15 and can nearly dunk, got any tips?

      For now focus on your jumping mechanics being as smooth and powerful as possible. Watch a lot of pro dunkers jump and copy their technique. Have 2 dunk/jump sessions a week where you jump as high as you can for about 60-90 minutes. When you're 16 it should be safe to start strength training/heavy lifting

      Brodie Stephens i'm 14 years old and 6'0 ft tall. I can hang but cant dunk. Should I start going to gym? I have done alot of plyometrics excersice
