Really support your video. Knowing the history of Malaysia and all kinds of food. Some arrogant and rude SG people are infuriating. Singapore and Malaysia two countries and nationalities a family. Wish Elmo and Danny healthy and happy family 🇲🇾 🤝 🇸🇬 👍.
A great and fulfilling illustration on the continuous introduction of this "ïnsensitive" so-called comedian to the triad era in the 70's and 80's and to this Kg.Cempaka episode. Smooth - interesting- well worded ! A great effort to find and end this episode featuring younger generation making our classic Yau Char Kwai using your " relatively new" drone to search for any new (or missed out) stalls to share. Thank you Elmo (and also to Danny) for again a well made Kg.Cempaka episode for all of us to savor and enjoy the good food prepared by the people there. Yatt Lau !! Mou tak Deng !! 👌👌👌
Aman Suria and Sunway Mas used to be part of Taikong. Even the road after LDP and the church leading into Taikong roundabout is part of Taikong. The corner kopitiam there has nice roast duck
These aunties uncles have been faithfully mending their stalls in market since 30-40yrs ago, way before they rebuilt the market.. sooo nostalgic for capturing them In video before they’re gone.. “lai fun” is definitely rare species as its handmade by themselves, growing up bringing NasiLemak and YCK (YauChaKwai) to school.. YTF (Yong TauFoo) had been my daily eats too.. too bad SoyaMilk no longer operating 10yrs; where’s the mushroom sauce/soya sauce CCF (CheeCheongFun)? Otherwise, it’d be part of our memory.. Oh, love this feature of this special 华人新村…
I never knew the history behind this place, again thank you for sharing . I do hv a bad impression about this place as my old colleague was killed at this place. But seeing yr video and recommendation , i will surely explore . Thank you again to you and yr partner in crime for this !
Thank you for Mr. Lee telling us the history. Without your narrative, I have no idea. Well, I'd like to ask another question about Japan. I've traveled to Japan for years to many small towns. I also worked for a Japanese company in Shinjuku for several years. What surprised me that it's nobody talked about history like Mr. Lee. Moreover, Japan was the people in Asia who didn't raise pigs and chickens behind the house. If anyone knows why, please comment.
🥸 "大港" to many people is referring to Sungai Besar in Sabak Bernam. 🥸 Many years ago my old office cleaning lady said after work she always 🚲 cycle back home in 大港. At that time 🤔 I wondered why my boss staying in Taman Mayang get a cleaning lady staying so far away for our office In Paramount Garden PJ? At that time 🤭 I didn't know 千百家/Kompung Chempaka is also known as "大港" 😅. 🧐 From the net: Established in 1969: a village known in Chinese as 千百家/Qian Bai Jia (1,000 homes). While it is hard to find the official reason for the village's establishment, the rumor goes that the land was allocated to Chinese families following the riots of May 1969.
Elmo . Just a suggestion. If you can provide the addresses of the restaurants which you used to previously it would surely of immense help to your subscribers to locate. 18:35
Hi Ryan each of my episode comes with a google link that takes u to all the addresses of the featured eateries; however u must go to the end of each video or go to my intro synopsis to get the link

Luckily you didn't missed the last introduction of the yau-char-kwai, is really nice
Yes those young girls were so talented
Love the history!
