Coloring Zinc Plated Parts with Metalline Dyes

Metalline powdered dyes are used for coloring zinc plated parts. The dyes absorb into the chromate film that protects the zinc from corroding. The most common colors are ground screw green, red, blue and yellow. There are numerous shades and other unique colors available as well. Using a high protection thick film trivalent chromate will help ensure effective dye absorption and bright consistent colors.

From my understanding this is dyeing of a zinc part that is previously electroplated right?
If I stand correct, I cannot dyeing iron part which has previously galvanized with zinc layer with this product, right?
What I need is coloring of blue a common iron screw which has a layer of zinc of the surface

How many days will that color stand on that silver metal if apply the red color dye.. ?? How do I use that chemical? Get the chemical lab and say the name of the chemical???

Can this process be used with zinc alloys like Zamak 3 and 5?

It can, but to get the brightest and most consistent color the zinc die castings are often electroplated with a thin coating of acid chloride zinc, then chromated and dyed.
