I started watching & commenting right when you started and then my internet cut out (upgrading) 😮💨 SO, I'm back. Thank Angie for the recommendation!! I was so pleasently surprised to see Lauren Daigle for your analysis!! She is talented and has an amazing range. I agree with Zachary Perkins (previous commenter) subscribers can still learn from your analysis even if 'it's not their genre'. I know I do. And you have a 'global fandom' because you can find unique vocal qualities in lots of different genres. So, thanks again!! Stay safe, be kind & happy, and know that you are appreciated!
Jen could you do a reaction to her version of “Noel” please!!! Her voice was much more straight tone than husky back then, but the range is incredible… especially the last chorus. I would love to see a live reaction!!
I've seen Lauren Daigle in concert several times and she is very talented with a sweet voice. Although this song is relatively done in a lower range, she can also reach a pretty high range consistently and many songs in her repertoire are in a higher range. Also she does the vibrato as kind of a trademark. As always, I loved your reaction and especially the analysis.
This is my first time hearing Lauren and it was a treat. Thank you for introducing me to another great vocalist! I was a little concerned that she might sink due to how many anchors she used but she didn't. Also, a little warning for you. It's been over a year since you've used the phrase " So, without any further Ado " and I'm pretty sure that is still a TH-cam requirement for reactors. Just don't want you to go to TH-cam jail. Blessings!
Not only does she have an incredible vocal instrument her writing and messages are so important exclamation! thanks Jen, for highlighting this one….BTW, not necessarily for an R and a, do you know the work of the Harp Twins? You should watch a few of their videos., especially their cover of Metallica’s One! They will be on a European tour in February - March 24 and several stops are in great Britain
I noticed something that needs pointing out. How many times did you hit that D3?! Without even having to work to get it. 😊 You definitely caught several things I have not. (Not saying I’m surprised!) One thing in particular, the early line “will anybody stay?”, I never noticed the trail down after she closes off the diphthong. Now that you’ve pointed it out, I bet I will notice it in other songs as well. This song does repeat some and it’s interesting to see the changes in approach to keep it fresh. Jealousy is not a good thing, but that tone and huskiness! Good grief. AND she can belt to an E5. Oh well. It’s all good, someone has to be able to sound like this, may as well be Lauren. ❤️
Jennifer! Clearly this video was recorded before you ... rearranged your space for a new decoration wasn't it? 😁 I don't think I'm familiar with Lauren Daigle. 🤔 Oh, an Angie recommendation ... that explains it. She's got pretty good taste in music doesn't she? 😁 Wow loving those low notes. You still have your D3 but Lauren has a bit more ... huskiness to her lower register than you do. And now you've just said the same thing. She does have a very nice lower register. But Jen, so do you! You could sing this. Yes you could! Very nice song and a great reaction and analysis as always! 😊
I agree!! ( Christian Contemporary Music ) Subscribers can still learn from Jen's analysis even if 'it's not their genre'. There's a lot of overlooked talent in this 'genre'!
Hi Jen, a new subscriber here 🇲🇾. Appreciate if you can do a vocal analysis of Ernie Zakri @ Tribute FFM32 Tribute to P.Ramlee (a medley of Getaran Jiwa & Jeritan Batinku). Thank you.
@6:22 you going over the word ( I )..don't want to know. I really disagree with position. You just finished talking on a rant about your own voice and your limitations.. please find a career you can be honest and love what you do and be great at it. TH-cam that's not you. You should be a wealthy man's/womand yes gal. Your not critiquing like quite as much as I'd expect from a voice coach. God bless though.. it was only a couple times through.. but if I had to hear that everyday... I don't know...
When I first uploaded this, it was blocked! So here we are, semi-blurred etc! Enjoy!
