The Indiana does seem like a good choice if you can only have one and it does have a lighter sleeker look - all the O rings are really noticeable in your carry demonstration. Still, I love my medium satchel. I have since got the tablet (used) and just ordered the front pouch - getting smaller.

Medium satchel is being retired!!! Very sad about that as it is a great size and with the small gone, the large is just too large for an everyday handbag. Great review, I love seeing how you fill them and use them

Nolan Bertelson I actually picked up one on daves deals and i didn't like the tobacco color. what kind of color was yours? dark or yellow or peanut butter
its definitley a different shade than usual. its definitly more of a darker color. i also ordered the phone case with it (not off daves deals) and it was a spitting image of regular tobbaco imaged on the site. dave has said before tobbaco ranges in color, and although id rather it be lighter, i guess you get what you get and you dont get upset
you're right. it's a risk. I'm on the fence if I will return it. I have a wallet in the peanut butter and it has a cool patina. So I could look forward to that.
I've used the d rings in the past to secure my tripod using a bungee cord. I've also secured my coat or waterbottle. Some people remove them because of the added weight
How wide exactly is your Chromebook? (Meaning, its longest dimension.) The size chart on SBL website is confusing in that it shows that an iPad Air 2 does NOT fit, while iPad 1/2/3 DOES (and iPad 3 is definitely higher/longer than iPad Air 2). So it would be nice to know what was the largest gadget that you managed to fit inside (albeit with "springing" the sides a bit).
Myroslava Luzina my chromebook is 11" wide. 8" in tall. I don't have the Indiana satchel anymore, I was borrowing it in this video. Hopefully that helps. Let me know if you have any other questions.
Thanks! Yes, I'm aware that you had the Indiana Satchel on loan, but what matters is that I have seen the widest gadget that can be squeezed inside, and now you provided the measurement (11''). This means that iPad Pro 10.5 will _definitely_ fit in, because it's 9.8'' high. Apparently, it won't fit into the inside back pocket, but I don't care as long as it fits into the main compartment. I am particular about my notebooks, so that pocket will come in handy anyway. Thanks, your response is very helpful! SBL will see another sale of the Indiana Satchel in the coming months (I live outside of the U.S., so I'll wait until a friend travels over here and is able to bring it to me). SBL should know you are helpful to their business ;) [I do already have the discontinued Thin Briefcase, but your review helped me choose among the various options for a less bulky carry option.]

I don't know why they are called Indiana Satchel for sure, but I'm guessing it's because of Indiana Jones. That character in the movie carries a leather satchel.
