I bet it will. Either new maps or modes will be added or the game will fundamentally change in some way like using a superior means of rating skill in FFA
@@TheKillPeteStrategy Interesting. I guess we just have to wait and see. But I understand why it got so popular. The map has many bonuses and there are many choke points, when playing with blizzards. @TheKillPeteStrategy green, if they were any better and didn't spend time hitting the red bot should have won they were almost to big to lose in the 1 v 1, but my might be expecting to much from a Iceland capper
@@TheKillPeteStrategyI say this from a positive place, I think you have a tendency to severely devalue your opponents. Green honestly didn’t play that poorly despite you calling him a total noob all game. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen you or kylted etc take a bad corner cap because it can build a snowball. Green played the Iceland cap well; getting a turn one +5 then staying off cap to expand into scandy and Russia. He definitely wasn’t a GM of course. He could’ve card blocked you in mid or car blocked you in Africa or not taken a bad cap roll or got a set on 4 when you were low in Rabat etc. He clearly got overwhelmed by the big bot and didn’t know how to close, but I need to give him some credit, he was actually playing at what I’d usually see an expert or master level. Lots of otherwise good players can’t figure out how to close games.

About the analysis at the end. The problem is not gen alpha not being able to find information, it is their willingness to look beyond the overview of a search to be more aware of the nuance and depth of the information that is sought. From a teacher friend of mine, she commentated saying they will often stop their search after clicking on the first site that comes up and read maybe a paragraph. So their attention span is a huge detriment because very few issues in this life are black and white, and if a large percentage can’t do adequate research, not only does this affect them personally, it also affects us because we have a less informed electorate voting.
Is this the lack of seeking additional sources any different from pre-internet generations? If we bothered to even look something up in a book did we seek multiple sources? Not unless I needed a second source to list in a paper. Some of the gen alpha that I know do have incredible depth on some weird topics that they are interested in. Perhaps your teacher friend has a bit of confirmation bias where they see their kids only looking up topics they need to find the answers for and seek the bare minimum required in that context… just like every previous generation did in school.
@@Strangiato11 the human condition has not changed, but the stimulus has. Meaning yes, like animals humans also will seek out the easiest path but the easiest path in the past was more difficult than the current paths. And yes, having to crack open multiple encyclopedias and other reference materials in the past compared to the easy access of information now has led to shorter attention spans. And this does affect an individuals willingness to dive deeper into a subject. Obviously there are the exceptions but it’s proven attention spans are becoming shorter. This also leads many more people not to ponder the big questions in life. I remember when I was middle school age (2000) sitting outside and just staring into the distance thinking. @@MC-ry5mk See, but you're just assuming that last bit. attention spans are becoming shorter because the amount of attention needed to accomplish the same thing has been reduced. When we were kids, if I wanted to find out how to beat a specific level of a video game, I would either have to go around and find someone who had already done it, or go to a store, find a strategy guide, read it, and then implement it. Now, you can search online and find a playthrough on YT. I might spend 20 minutes checking out 3 different attempts to find the one most suited to me. If it took even 10 minutes to find something, I'd move on. Also, you're putting a lot of reverence towards your middle school "pondering the big questions". You probably came to the same conclusions as r/IAm13AndThisIsDeep, but it took you days instead of 30 seconds.
@ I agree with your assessment. So now, what is the consequence of information being readily available? And because of this, if there is something that takes longer than the instant knowledge/instant gratification someone younger is used to, a higher percentage of them than previous generations will just move on. You're right on with saying we no longer need to store info and developing the ability to access it quickly is the new skill. I'm about your age and I bet when you were a kid you probably had 20-50 phone numbers memorized and now you barely remember your own, just like me. A psychiatrist once told me, "Most of knowledge is knowing where to look things up." Having free and instant access to the sum of all human knowledge in our pocket is the biggest leap in human evolution since we learned how to create fire. The issue is there are a lot of bad actors out there that are using this power to manipulate the masses by making it extremely difficult for most people to tell what is true or not. The sad fact is that a lot of people lack critical thinking skills and are highly susceptible to confirmation bias so they are more than willing to believe bullshit as long as it's their flavor of tripe.
