Hi - The Z axis is also controlled by a Stepper motor as is the X, but not simultaneously - ie, not a true 'CNC' - I do not know of ANY CAM software that can generate G-Code for a shaper, so did not go that route..
Ah I see, I hadn't appreciated the G Code generation requirement being different for a shaper - I know next to nothing on such matters. I left PLC work several years ago and then only had a basic understanding of what they could do with a program writer working for me. Great job as it is - I hope to see some more video of the unit in use. All the best Mat
