Saw these fine gentlemen back in the day at City Hall Newcastle, took my younger brother with me and he fessed up to my mother that we'd been to the pub first (we were both underage). A great gig, a great band and happy memories!
I can't believe there's so few people cept italians commenting. I just heard this song a couple of weeks ago, and Im still amazed by it. Progressive rock at it's finest!
I bought this album in 1974 when I was 15, thought it was brilliant and have loved the music ever since. How lovely to find it all on you tube with even more to enjoy!!!!!!

I did NOT realize how wicked Premoli was on keys!! It sounds complex and fun and all, but watching these guys perform is something else! And Mussida on guitar...well his part has a complexity that doesn't show up on just listening. Piazza's bass lines though is comes off as complex as they sound. Unsung GIANT of prog!!
I had no idea a PFM video would even be available no less on you tube. Thanks for posting this....They were a great band. I saw them live in the 70's at the academy of music in NY. They opened for Argent.
MMOAvideos: I also saw PFM in 1975 in Toronto at Massey Hall. It was utterly amazing and helped me form a greater sense of musical appreciation. This group was truly innovative and genius!

On August 22nd, 1974, PFM played in Toronto, Canada, and recorded the concert. They took these recordings and combined them with tracks from a New York concert on August 31st,1974 and released a live album. The album was called "PFM Cook" and after hearing it for the first time, I had to run out and buy it. I've been a big fan ever since. PFM's music transcends the language barrier and is Prog rock at it's best.

Saw PFM live in New York's Central Park (lp Cook is from that show) -- no one knew who they were but 250,000 people showed up. People were mulling around saying the show was great and they didn't want to go back to work -- PFM was that good. I'll never forget it. That was one of their greatest performances and it was in the right city, at the right time.

Di come potesse essere l'atmosfera allora ne ho avuto un assaggio 2 anni fa quando, con mia somma sorpresa, ho visto suonare la PFM dal vivo in una manifestazione in un paese vicino a dove abito io. Quando ho sentito il presentatore dire "Ed ecco a voi la PFM" sono letteralmente sbiancato. Inutile dire che la loro esibizione e tutta l'atmosfera che si era creata mi ha fatto scorrere adrenalina a litri...
Sono ASSOLUTAMENTE d'accordo. Io ho avuto la fortuna di ascoltarli con Premoli (ma quella volta non c'era Fabbri) e anche senza. Ma con Premoli è storia.

è la prima volta che li ascolto (ho 18 anni)e mi hanno molto colpito,ricordano un po i genesis ed i jetro tull:in questo momento non posso fare altro che pensare che la questo spirito musicale non si ripeterà più e che ormai nella battaglia tra commerciale e musica decente abbia stravinto il commerciale ed abbia buttato nell'oblio i gruppi di questo periodo (vedi i porcupine tree o i tool!)

se ti limiti a vedere le esibizioni durante i concerti del 1 maggio e altre apparizioni in tv è certo che suonano de andrè, ma non ti preoccupare perchè suonano ancora queste cose...anche molto bene e i nuovi componenti sono mostruosi

Just discovered this band while reading about Pete Sinfield (who wrote King Crimson's lyrics between '69 - '72), and wrote an English language album for these guys in 1973 (Photos of Ghosts). These guys are awesome! "Impressioni Di Settembre" (1972) has some REALLY King Crimson elements, especially the awesome drumming. Amazing.

Commento inopportuno, il tuo. Non sono un fan della Pausini, però lei ha molto più successo di quanto ne abbia avuto la PFM, di cui ero (e sono) un grande estimatore. E comunque la musica della Pausini non è assolutamente da buttare.
@larssonfan2 Cmq permettimi di dire che non è facile suonare alle feste di paese sei davanti ad un pubblico musicalmente eterogeneo, qualke cantantucolo ci ha lasciato le penne. La grandezza della PFM è soprattutto quella di coinvolgere musicalmente le persone che ascoltano i loro concerti, credo che buona parte della gente che era ad Avellino più che alla festa era lì proprio per la PFM.
You mean Greag Lake? I don't think so. PFM were introduced to the English folks by Pete Sinfield, who actually was the producer of their "Photos of Ghosts" album. But, yes, Pete, actually was the spirit behind ELP, supporting the the band with wonderful texts. His solo album "Still" is IMHO very very underestimated...

Commento inopportuno, il tuo. Non sono un fan della Pausini, però lei ha molto più successo di quanto ne abbia avuto la PFM, di cui ero (e sono) un grande estimatore. E comunque la musica della Pausini non è assolutamente da buttare.
@larssonfan2 Cmq permettimi di dire che non è facile suonare alle feste di paese sei davanti ad un pubblico musicalmente eterogeneo, qualke cantantucolo ci ha lasciato le penne. La grandezza della PFM è soprattutto quella di coinvolgere musicalmente le persone che ascoltano i loro concerti, credo che buona parte della gente che era ad Avellino più che alla festa era lì proprio per la PFM.

You mean Greag Lake? I don't think so. PFM were introduced to the English folks by Pete Sinfield, who actually was the producer of their "Photos of Ghosts" album. But, yes, Pete, actually was the spirit behind ELP, supporting the the band with wonderful texts. His solo album "Still" is IMHO very very underestimated...
