Oliver Smith & Tailor release ‘Rely On Me’, out now on Anjunabeats.
As Anjunabeats’ first signing and one of the label’s oldest and dearest friends, Oliver Smith has amassed over 20 million streams across his entire catalogue. In 2018, he mixed the Anjunabeats Worldwide 08 compilation; featuring ten of his own tracks, which hit the #1 spot on the iTunes dance chart in the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, and more.
Last year, Oliver released the ‘Be Kind Rewind’ EP in collaboration with fellow label linchpin Andrew Bayer, which totalled over 2 million streams, earning support from the likes of Jason Ross, Ruben De Ronde and Tritonal. The EP also saw large radio support, including Ben Malone on KISS FM and Armin van Buuren on A State Of Armin (SiriusXM). Oliver also joined Anjunabeats on the After Dark North America tour, playing in Seattle, Boston and Toronto, as well as playing alongside Cosmic Gate at Dream Scape in Hanoi.
Hailing originally from South Africa and now based in the UK, singer-songwriter Rob Taylor, known as Tailor, has collaborated with a vast array of artists. Recently, he joined forces with This Never Happened’s label curator Lane 8 on ‘Wake Up’, featured on their ‘Childish’ album, as well as artists such as Le Youth, Braxton, My Friend, Simon Doty, Nu Age, KC Lights, KSHMR, Marnik, MØ, LA Vision, Cosmos Midnight and more.

Nah it's not. It's generic progressive house so flat and boring it's music for statues and not dancers or clubbers. I miss A&B and Anjunabeats back when they were releasing proper melodic/euphoric and uplifting trance and catchy melodic progressive house. Like you know Smith & Pledger - White or say Pepe's Garden. I miss the oliver smith back when he used to make good tracks like Aspekt - Mobetta or something else.

I will preface by saying I actually do enjoy this track, but yeah, modern Anjunabeats releases don't hold a candle to the old stuff they used to put out, like - case-in-point - classic Oliver Smith or Smith & Pledger...

Nah, I agree. The instrumental is quite good. I thought the same thing with his earlier track Lovingly. He has gotten good vocalists though, like Natalie Holmes, so idk why he's working with this singer who isn't as good.
