I just bought one a week ago, started on the first pull and cut perfectly the first time using it. Quality mower that will far outlast your neighbors Ego.
That is a crazy price. I just purchased one at home depot for $599.00 not including tax. I did not even get any pot with it. lol 🤣 How in the world did you get such a great buy. 😄 USD in USA.
Same engine on my pressure washer and i agree is a great engine start at the first pull and a good fuel saver i use ones a week for about 5 hour's to wash a fleet of trucks and works perfect 👌
It is a great mower I’ve had mine like 4 months I use it for my business where my big mowers don’t fit it gets used every week on like 3 to 5 properties a week and it’s outstanding super fuel efficient I also have a Higher end model the HRX217 hydro drive I’ve owed that mower for like 9 years also outstanding the 5th year of ownership the hydro trans went out on it but since I purchased it at homedepot Honda replaced the transmission free of charge and to a upgraded version I was told longer lasting it’s been 4 years now and transmission is still working great but to be honest I like better the HRN cause of how light weight it is the HRX217 is a heavy mower and more heavy duty but it’s heavy to lift up in my truck you need 2 guys the HRN I can lift it by myself in the truck but other then that they are both great mowers 👍💪
Thumbs up. This is the true test. Take the residential mower and put it in a commercial environment. The deck still looks good and you know this thing has been working overtime. The wheels are worn but what can you expect in this sort of scenario. I saw Garage Gear put some mountain bike tires over the stock wheels.
Great video!! I just bought one from HD new $449. I asked the mngr if he can creatively find some discounts. $50 off for opening a cc (that I'll immediately clos) and $50 off something he added. HD needs to get rid of these with Honda stopping production. Go get a great deal on a great mower!
I bought my HRN 216 from Home Depot a few weeks ago. I live in the SE and let my grass get 10 or so inches. This mower has had no issues running through the thick stuff. I keep the mower height on 4" for now. Roughly 3500 SF of cutting surfaces. It's perfect 👌🏽.
Great price you got on that mower! I have a 2016 hrr model(push, not self propelled). I want a self propelled Honda and I know they will soon leave the US market, so I was looking at the hrn and hrx. Don't know what I should go for.
Just wish there were aftermarket rubber tires for this mower. I go through tires pretty easily/obviously. And just recently the bagging system is having trouble keeping its cuttings inside the bag. Its been dropping out as if I don't even have the bag on. This is my 4th year with this mower.
@@laserbeam1620 I've seen a video on that somewhere here on YT but it seemed like too much work to keep them on like have to glue and nail the tire onto the Honda tires. And still the outcome looks janky
I just picked up a new set of tires for mine off eBay for like 60 bucks, OEM with the metal gears on the back wheels. 5 minutes to replace and so worth the money.
That's a phenomenal deal that you got. You can tell that you've put a lot of time in with it based on the wear on the wheels. I'm really tempted by Honda, though I'm a bit concerned with Honda getting out of the business that I might have trouble getting replacement parts 5 or 6 years down the line. I would hope even if Honda stopped making parts that a third party company would step in and start making replacement parts for Honda mowers.
Yeah it really was, and with them producing and selling so many I would think you should easily be able to find parts for 10 years. I sold a 21 year old John Deere a few months back and I had no problem finding parts for it.
Except he’s talking about an affordable Honda self propelled mower! He’s not talking about running 20 miles or whatever insane “work out”! David goggles is endorsing! By the way David Goggins is going to wear himself out! 😂
Looks like your tire trea is about shot. Good news is you can get a whole new set of glhobda wheels for about $60 and take about 5 minutes to replace them and get your trackion back
Just got mine last week. Guy only had it for a few months and I paid $295. It’s so powerful and light. Only issue I have is how loud it is. I’m wondering if something g happened to the muffler.
Man you got a CRAZY deal on that. What's to stop someone from returning a mower, or having a friend buy/return it, and going there later and getting 64% off??
Nothing I guess, the manager let me know the return policy was the same as buying it new. I check every time I go in to see if I can catch another deal.
@@Manifestmowing - I'm feeling a bit ripped off for paying full price! lmao. I did get a 10% military discount (home depot) and shipped to my house for free though. I mean I'm not gonna return it even though I'm in the return window. But still sucks hearing how deeply they discount them. Honestly, it's bad business from their side. A discount is expected but 64% off is just giving them away. 30% off would have been more than generous. Either way, good to know for the future I'll start asking my local manager
I would absolutely look into it. In my area the returns and repairs sit sometimes for a while. The price may not even be on it anymore. The key is to ASK the manager. I use the ethanol free gas in all my 2 cycles but I been using the regular unleaded 10% in my Honda mower for years and have never had an issue. I will hit the carbs with carb cleaner if it don't start on 1st pull, but that rarely happens.
I honestly didn't think I would like the side discharge but was pleasantly surprised. It actually works very well. I can't speak to if the HDX is worth the extra $200. But in my opinion if I had to guess it probably is because this mower has been that good. It still runs like a champ and always starts on the first pull and has a great cut quality.
@@Manifestmowing In my opinion some rubber on the wheels, bearings instead of whatever this has, a little bit more power, they barely larger bag and whatever else is not worth 200 more dollars! Rubber trade from a mountain bike tire $20 plus a handful of short screws a slightly larger lawnmower bag $53 to $55. So you can have the larger bag and drippy rubber wheels with barely less power for about $625! Or in your case about $275!! So no I don’t believe it’s worth another $200 for $75-$100 worth of parts and maybe like a half hp to 1 hp more. Because with those $75 of upgrades it will be a fantastic mower and you also probably save some weight of about 10 pounds weight savings!
