Asia Street 365 would love your input regarding your recent visit! We’re going to Thailand in 10 days and are considering staying by maenam soi 1 about 1 km from main rd...we’re really hoping to find street food vendors for food and not have to rely on sit down restaurants as we’re traveling on a budget with two kiddos. Any input about this area would be much appreciated!!
L L Hi LL, Maenam is an excellent choice and you’ll find stacks of street food, I would also suggest the Friday Night markets at Fisherman’s village, lots of choices there, don’t forget downtown Chewang for street food. Have a fantastic time in Samui.👍 Thanks for watching LL✌️
I was there in 02 and 04, totally unrecognisable now! It was a super-sleepy little village then. Dinner for 30B in the local spots. The Shack is the only place I recognise.
Yeah mate, I've been traveling to Samui for 26yrs and the whole Island has changed from a sleepy backwards Island into a commercial hub now for tourists. I recall the old days as I call it when the roads were dirt, no ATMs and a handful of bars at Chawang etc... I still enjoy Samui however, it's becoming so overpriced, and in saying that I'll be there again soon👍
