I don't really understand the logic in this video. It is claimed that Kawasaki is "petty" for creating a bike with a bigger engine and thus more hp, however that's just what Suzuki did in creating the busa, which had a bigger displacement advantage to the blackbird. It's never really explained why Suzuki is allowed a pass on this but Kawasaki isn't, other than from pure bias. It's admitted that there is a bias towards Suzuki, but that doesn't mean anything substantial to us, the viewers.
I grew up watching Biker Boyz, and in the era where the ZX14R and Busa were the top tier of speed, a time when 999cc bikes didn't have a chance against them. But now 1300+ CC bikes are being phased out by 1000s and it's awesome lol. I want to see what BMW is doing for 2020 and I hope Honda/Suzuki and Yamaha will have an answer to the H2.
My son has a white one.. Every where he goes people flock around it in amazement! When he revs it up men and women get excited. It gives me chills and makes my heart race! My grand kids run to it when they "hear" him coming! I think it's soooo beautiful I want to put it on glass ramps and desplay it in my living room! 😍😍😍😍😍 Love it 💖💖 My "Busa Grandchild"
I don't get all the hype for the H2(r) 400hp? Whoopty-Fucking-Doo, we've seen that all before Since H2R is nothing more than Kawa's try at a Turbo'ed Busa, which have been peddling in the streets for almost 20 years already
@@Nightdare both bikes work differently, h2r is the fastest bike now the hype is because it doesn't need an extended swing arm to win a drag and the engine is smaller than hayabuza still it makes astonishing power which Suzuki just can't beat, in this new age of bikes suzuki is way behind kawa, yamaha, and other European bikes are way ahead of that old hayabuza,
Yet, liter bikes are breaking the 200hp mark with less than 70% of the zx14r's engine displacement all the time now. I think it was ultimately the Germans that pushed Kawasaki to develop and release the H2. Now 200hp is almost normal and 250+ hp in a $55,000+ supercharged Ninja H2R is crazy insane.
the ZX14R isn't just about it's HP, it's also about it's torque, how much of it there is and where it is.. Roughly the ZX10R and S1000R make peak torque in the 80 ft-lbs range while the ZX14R makes in the 100 ft-lbs range, that makes for a very different kind of riding experience, definitely good for the sport touring role where race winning isn't a priority.
I know a lot of people who gave up their zx14 for the ninja 1000... I consider the zx14 a nice fast bike, but nothing I want to spend hours on.. Glad the H2SX came out.... that's a proper sport touring bike
And then Kawasaki said N/A bikes are for suckers and put out the H2, capable of walking even their beloved ZX-14 with both in stock trim. Then with a simple ECU flash, the H2 unlocks a higher redline and 30 more HP to the wheels. It's like Kawi is kicking a downed opponent... and I love them...
HeroRR Honda seems to be the most conservative of bike companies. It works, because they have some of the longest lasting bikes on the road and are the best selling motorcycles worldwide. Can't fault them for their meathod to success.
vernon feurtado its a great bike, don't get me wrong. th-cam.com/video/S4ep4uIxhtY/w-d-xo.html but here is a stock to stock comparrison of the h2, zx-14r, and the zx-10. Forced induction is a scary thing on motorcycles. Scary and awesome!
At least 30 hp ,I heard that some H2 did like 280 hp with just a flash and minimum mod I mean without having to take another hypotech on the house lolllllllllll Nonetheless I have a zx-14r 2013 that I bought used for 10,000$ that I’m very happy with and before changing for a 30,000$ H2, ( here in Canada) I would keep mine and put a small turbo kit « meaning not to achieve 500hp but something more usable 325/350 and save the money and still walk a H2 🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪👍👍👍👍👍
The Busa is still the king. Don't believe it? Look at any dragstrip, at street grudge matches, at the after market. It is all about the Busa. It is more than a bike, it is a legend. There are some bikes like the Kawi that are in the same ballpark stock, but none have even come close to the Busa But people know the real deal and that is why you see 10 Busas for every ZX-14.
My dad had an original 99 unrestricted busa. I rode pillion on it as a 13 year old boy. As a result, to this day I have arms like Arnold Schwarzenegger in his hay day...
I don't really understand the argument about Kawasaki being "petty" & without "honour". It's not a game - it's a business. I love them all anyway, and yes, Hayabusa has kudos, but each to their own.
Not really The 1100XX didn't make 300km/h, Suzuki found out they needed more displacement (and even after that, it was the fairing design that enabled it to finally surpass that speed)
Their 150 two stroke beat other manufacturers 150 two strokes with liquid coolant and powervalve. While suzuki just use air cooling system and no powervalve.. Well, suzuki always come with weird design tho. Unlike yamaha and Honda or kawasaki. 😂😂😂
The first time i sat on a busa, i fell in love. When i stood it up, it was as if it was floating on air. I would definitely buy one as a second bike. For a sport bike, its the most comfortable ive ever straddled.
This battle pretty much started in the 70's with Honda CB750, then Z1's, XS1100, GS1100 and so on thru today. I lived it. No one cheated. Nothing dishonorable. The Hayabusa wouldn't even exist if not for its long line of predecessors. Even the ill fated CB1000 inline six advanced technology by using the engine as a structural part of the frame. Save the romance for your boyfriend.
The CBX1000 is such an awesome bike. A proper exotic, since only a few manufacturers used Inline-6 tech. I'll definately get a CBX once I upgrade from my CB750
Rata 4U its not imitation if a high displacement sportbike is the only way to achieve such speeds at the time. All the manufacturers were making their bikes higher and higher displacement, it was at the time the only way to make a bike faster. Making a more powerful motorcycle than another manufacturer isn't imitation its just outdoing them. Of course we know now that electric and superchargers are the way to go but back then more CC was the only way
@@salimkhanjm1457 busa is 1300 cc h2 is 1000cc busa has already 300plus advantage so your comment is of no use, plus h2 is faster than a turbo busa in top speed so it doesn't matter if it has a supercharger
Damn right my friend...I love my busa.and they are far more fun than than 14r...easier to work on,customize, and upgrade.and the solo seat rather than one huge seat with a cover over half of it

Fun fact, the reason they called it the Hayabusa which is Japanese for peregrine falcon as we all know, but further too that is a peregrine's favourite prey is a blackbird, so they literally told Honda they would kill their bike, that's cold lol

They’re nightmares to ride on the street, Leroy. The stretch makes them animals on straight tracks, but going into any corner becomes a potential dance with death.
Great vid, I wish you would of talked bout the impact the busa had on the drag racing scene. Just how dominant it was, from the average 1/4 mile drag race to the pro street bikes. I love your content keep it up! I think it would be dope of you to talk about the liter bike shootout from 2004-2010 aswell in a separate vid
I have hayabusa and goldwing both...both are marvels of their own territories...racing and cruising isn't same..yes hayabusa is good but don't forget when it comes to racing it's only honda..none else.
While it has a tad less power than the copycat ZX14r, I prefer the Hayabusa for these reasons... It is revered as the original hyperbike, the king... The one that Kawi had to copy and 'claimed' to dethrone. The name 'Hayabusa' is legendary, having shattered the previous records and holding it for so long. Had more influence on the marketplace than any other hyperbike. Was THE reason for the 186MPH limited top speed on bikes (Japanese gentlemans agreement). Was years ahead of its time, and still very competitive in its age. Despite being an old design, it's STILL the most aerodynamic production bike ever, and out-accelerates the more powerful ZX14r at high speeds as a result (especially when speed governors eliminated). Due to aero, gets far better fuel mileage too. Speaking of aero, I feel the design of the '08 and up Busa is far sexier than the ZX14 (which looks generic to me). The Ninja ZX14 is trying to be a 'Busa, Ninja, and 80's Ferrari Testarosa all at the same time (with spider eyes for bonus points.) I proudly own a Ninja so I'm NOT biased against them. The Hayabusa is more agile and sporty than the ZX14. That and the superior aero are enough to win me over, but Busa's originality, legacy, and unmistakable body-styling keep it way above the 'reactive' Kawasaki. There is far more to awesomeness than who has the 'biggest um... engine'. The Hayabusa's superiority in the aftermarket-mod world, and engine swaps are testament of that (Like GMs legendary smallblock V8 of the motorcycle world). I feel all of the Japanese bikes have a certain domininance in one or more bike categories, example- Kawasaki owns the small-displacement sportbike world. For me, Suzuki continues it long reign in this 'stupidfastbigbike' category. And on a personal note- it is the Hayabusa that got me interested in the motorcycle world, so its impact has forever shaped my life (and probably death, 😆)! I am forever a "fanboy" I suppose, probably just the engineer in me though!
I take it that you are a VFR guy? I have an 87 VFR700FII Blue and silver and a 2000 Hayabusa Blue and silver originally now candy blue. I still love the Interceptor but the Busa is just a badass. Thanks for doing the video.
I've owned a 2004 Hayabusa for 10 years now. Love the bike and love the others too. Makes for a choice, to the customer, it would be boring if there's no competition.
Mate you’ve just brought me to tears of joy. You’ve increased the love I have for this bird 🦅 on wheels. Just a quick question how did they tame something so fast and how does one unleash it back to its Kingship speed? Awesome video 👍🏿✅
I drove it, its crazy, idle speed at 220km, feels like 120km, super cool, even at 220 km feels calm lol of course it can go way more but i did not, i just took it for 10km and 10km back distance i was back in 10 minutes to my friend lol
I love Honda, probably my favorite manufacturer and I'm saving up for a CBR600RR right now. On that note, a lot is sexier than the blackbird. It was definitely the sexiest out of it's competition in the hyperbike category though.

I got a gsf1200sa sitting in my shed mad respect to suzuki and hail to the king
And they release a new elegant beauty. Mean and back on top as far as I'm concerned. Unmatched Suzuki motors
😍😍😍😍😍 Love it 💖💖
My "Busa Grandchild"
Sooo is every one gonna ignore the fact that there are birds that can go 240 mph 🤷♂️
@fleetfootedtexan 😂😂😂
Too scary we just wont mention it
It won't. It will reach to Terminal velocity sooner than 240mph
It's vertical velocity.
Hashirama Senju ?
meanwhile h2r like: i only race with jet...🤣
Haha nope
@Clark Culver drag h2 not h2r defeated turbo busa eith long extension.
I don't get all the hype for the H2(r)
400hp? Whoopty-Fucking-Doo, we've seen that all before
Since H2R is nothing more than Kawa's try at a Turbo'ed Busa, which have been peddling in the streets for almost 20 years already
@@Nightdare both bikes work differently, h2r is the fastest bike now the hype is because it doesn't need an extended swing arm to win a drag and the engine is smaller than hayabuza still it makes astonishing power which Suzuki just can't beat, in this new age of bikes suzuki is way behind kawa, yamaha, and other European bikes are way ahead of that old hayabuza,
vibhor knight7 H2r is fast but Busa is a legend ... That bike has respect which can be unbeaten 🖤
I just rode a 2008 Hayabusa today, man it’s smooth and made me feel like god. Bike is on a heavier side but feels planted.
I got a gen 1 Busa,best bike i have ever owned by a mile
Yet, liter bikes are breaking the 200hp mark with less than 70% of the zx14r's engine displacement all the time now. I think it was ultimately the Germans that pushed Kawasaki to develop and release the H2. Now 200hp is almost normal and 250+ hp in a $55,000+ supercharged Ninja H2R is crazy insane.
the ZX-10 is what pushed BMW to 200hp lets not forget
the ZX14R isn't just about it's HP, it's also about it's torque, how much of it there is and where it is.. Roughly the ZX10R and S1000R make peak torque in the 80 ft-lbs range while the ZX14R makes in the 100 ft-lbs range, that makes for a very different kind of riding experience, definitely good for the sport touring role where race winning isn't a priority.
the H2R is insane....it's not a street bike though
I know a lot of people who gave up their zx14 for the ninja 1000... I consider the zx14 a nice fast bike, but nothing I want to spend hours on.. Glad the H2SX came out.... that's a proper sport touring bike
I've own 2 Busa s and damming I'm well pleased. ICE.
And then Kawasaki said N/A bikes are for suckers and put out the H2, capable of walking even their beloved ZX-14 with both in stock trim. Then with a simple ECU flash, the H2 unlocks a higher redline and 30 more HP to the wheels. It's like Kawi is kicking a downed opponent... and I love them...
hahaha, they definitely have some spunk. I've always admired their "idgaf" attitude. I wished Honda would do that :(
HeroRR Honda seems to be the most conservative of bike companies. It works, because they have some of the longest lasting bikes on the road and are the best selling motorcycles worldwide. Can't fault them for their meathod to success.
I don’t know my 14R with a pipe Ecu flash pc5 lost some weight I destroy all bikes on the street! I’m just waiting for someone I know to get a H2!
vernon feurtado its a great bike, don't get me wrong. th-cam.com/video/S4ep4uIxhtY/w-d-xo.html but here is a stock to stock comparrison of the h2, zx-14r, and the zx-10. Forced induction is a scary thing on motorcycles. Scary and awesome!
At least 30 hp ,I heard that some H2 did like 280 hp with just a flash and minimum mod
I mean without having to take another hypotech on the house lolllllllllll
Nonetheless I have a zx-14r 2013 that I bought used for 10,000$ that I’m very happy with and before changing for a 30,000$ H2, ( here in Canada)
I would keep mine and put a small turbo kit « meaning not to achieve 500hp but something more usable 325/350 and save the money and still walk a H2
🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪🤪👍👍👍👍👍
My dad had one back in the day. He was 340 lbs at the time and it would pop wheelies all day. He sold it to his pastor who pulled up to church on it
Was his pastor Joel olsteen
That's a classic story... 😆
The Busa is still the king.
Don't believe it?
Look at any dragstrip, at street grudge matches, at the after market.
It is all about the Busa.
It is more than a bike, it is a legend.
There are some bikes like the Kawi that are in the same ballpark stock, but none have even come close to the Busa
But people know the real deal and that is why you see 10 Busas for every ZX-14.
At the end of the day Sukuki has always been able to make more with less.
Great company sukuki
Not really
The 1100XX didn't make 300km/h, Suzuki found out they needed more displacement (and even after that, it was the fairing design that enabled it to finally surpass that speed)
Their 150 two stroke beat other manufacturers 150 two strokes with liquid coolant and powervalve. While suzuki just use air cooling system and no powervalve.. Well, suzuki always come with weird design tho. Unlike yamaha and Honda or kawasaki. 😂😂😂
My problem is that it looks like crap i just really dont like the way it looks
@@wildingnemo5869 yes.. 😂😂 cant deny that
The first time i sat on a busa, i fell in love. When i stood it up, it was as if it was floating on air. I would definitely buy one as a second bike. For a sport bike, its the most comfortable ive ever straddled.
Were you born a giant, or did you grow into one?
Excellent presentation. I love my 99 busa.
The best hayabusa review
Kawasaki didn't beat them without honor. they built a faster motorcycle.
Exacly.
Of course we know now that electric and superchargers are the way to go but back then more CC was the only way
But with a way bigger displacement ... that's the point
Haha, Kawasaki is king.
Until a Hayabusa has a supercharger added maybe.
Hayabusa: I am best .
Black bird: i am best.
H2R: Hold my oil tank...
H2R: -Hold my oil tank...- watch me imitate a Turbo'ed Busa
H2R uses supercharger it's nothing without it where as busa is naturally aspirated
@@salimkhanjm1457 busa is 1300 cc h2 is 1000cc busa has already 300plus advantage so your comment is of no use, plus h2 is faster than a turbo busa in top speed so it doesn't matter if it has a supercharger
H2r : hold my stututututu
@@vibhorsharmax hv u seen turbo busa top speed
It should be "Its Legacy" (possessive) on the title screen, instead of "It"s Legacy" - like IT IS Legacy. Great video and I love the Hayabusa!
Damn right my friend...I love my busa.and they are far more fun than than 14r...easier to work on,customize, and upgrade.and the solo seat rather than one huge seat with a cover over half of it
All I got from this video was - Suzuki love and Kawasaki hate.
Nothing wrong with it. It's your opinion after all.
But found it highly biased when you started calling Kawasaki petty for what they did and glorified Suzuki when they did the same to Honda Blackbird.
Nonetheless, was a nicely done and well-narrated video. Enjoyed watching it :)
+Pratik Pakrashi Trust me, he's just some little kid spamming his opinion here on TH-cam what does not change anything or he might be doing it just to get lot of engagement on his video. I fking hate this kind of ppl and always want to give them a hard punch on their face if I got to see them.
@@RogBearD Claiming that Hayabusa is the King of Bikes (should be Queen btw) means you understand nothing about bikes. Just a BBBusa fanboy...because...you know...the speeeed...but hey...what's that? A left turn? Damn.
It's just about saying that busa is and was legend cause after all it ruled for 12 years that's more than blackbird
@CriFy SM Are you still upset over Santa being make believe? Or maybe because mommy didn’t breast feed you? Wanting to punch people for making videos about motorcycles isn’t a healthy lifestyle choice, friend. Either way, here’s a big warm virtual hug 🤗
This bike is a legend. Will go down as one of motorcyclings greatest ever machines
That was a very nice and informative video bro. Nicely done
Fun fact, the reason they called it the Hayabusa which is Japanese for peregrine falcon as we all know, but further too that is a peregrine's favourite prey is a blackbird, so they literally told Honda they would kill their bike, that's cold lol
I am 14, i have been riding on the back of my dad's bike for some years but recently i saw a bike i cant let go, a stretched hayabusa. It is something about it i just love
They’re nightmares to ride on the street, Leroy. The stretch makes them animals on straight tracks, but going into any corner becomes a potential dance with death.
Mine is a 2003 Hayabusa and I still love it!!!
Yeah, in all honesty there's TONS of information about the hayabusa, it really deserves a 30 minute documentary on its own. Maybe somday.
HeroRR I 2nd his liter bike shootout video idea :)
My uncle used to have a busa!! They are great bikes
I have a blackbird, that's the queen of bikes in my mind :)
You’re way too excited about this motorcycle.
Define hyperbike?
I take it that you are a VFR guy? I have an 87 VFR700FII Blue and silver and a 2000 Hayabusa Blue and silver originally now candy blue. I still love the Interceptor but the Busa is just a badass. Thanks for doing the video.
My first ever bike was a Suzuki and they'll be my favourite bike till the day i die.
I ride a ZX14R and never want to ride anything else except maybe a factory supercharged version? Go on Kwak, you know you want to!
Lord of the bikes
I've owned a 2004 Hayabusa for 10 years now.
Love the bike and love the others too.
Makes for a choice, to the customer, it would be boring if there's no competition.
Mate you’ve just brought me to tears of joy. You’ve increased the love I have for this bird 🦅 on wheels.
Just a quick question how did they tame something so fast and how does one unleash it back to its Kingship speed?
Awesome video 👍🏿✅
i personally am in love with the b king, which is basically a naked busa
itzFYEB rip
I LOVE THIS BIKE IS MAGIC
Simply, the 'Busa looks like the regal bird it's named after! No DESIGN CHANGE NEEDED
yep
Enjoyed your video, I own a 2013 Busa, best bike I have ever owned, its a versatile dependable bike & for the price, its a great value.
I really appreciate that Kawasaki would battle the "king" for the throne
Hayabusas still look very modern
What a fantastic bike, i have the 1999 unrestricted model, a total rippa to ride, thanks suzuki for a true legend born... Go busa...
21 and just bought my 2nd bike an 03 busa 1 owner with 0 issues my God do I live this thing
“Kawasaki had to cheat” but it’s not cheating when Suzuki beat out the Honda? Hmmm.
Exactly like how the fuck does a motorcycle cheat any way it doesn’t even make sense😂😂 it can’t help that it’s faster

Nothing will ever be sexier than the Blackbird.
I love Honda, probably my favorite manufacturer and I'm saving up for a CBR600RR right now. On that note, a lot is sexier than the blackbird. It was definitely the sexiest out of it's competition in the hyperbike category though.

Yes, here in Puerto Rico there's tons of Hayabusa, very unique and modified. My neighbor has a 300hps turbo + 100hp nitrous shot. It is almost cultural here, very appreciated bike
Angel Negron I didn’t see one bike there for an entire week and I drove around the entire island... not 1 sportsbike sir..
@@simpleflipR6 Yes, because it depends on two things, what part where you driving and the days, usually saturdays & sundays are full in motorcycles. Even fridays have a few on the road. Because in PR they are not used as a daily driver. They are a hobby, plus in Puerto Rico, the mayority of the people work for salary(which sucks) so they tend to work every day of the week, no exceptions.
Old San Juan, pig city, San Juan most of the drives. Roads had a lot of pot holes. Didn’t really se any sportsbikes there. Seriously...
@@simpleflipR6 Yeah, nobody likes to drive to Old San Juan on bikes, the old roads(which are like that on purpose) suck to ride on them, look up on youtube "Motorcycle festival Puerto Rico" so you can have an idea

How is it considered "Petty" to make a Bigger Engine? I mean, the bike is called the ZX-14, so Shouldn't it have a 1,400cc Motor???
This is Such a Hayabusa FAN BOY Video!!!
A very good video indeed, enjoyed watching a lot. At the beginning i wasn't quite convinced about the styling but it just grew on me over time and now i just love the way it looks. I always dreamt of having this beautiful machine in my garage and would definitely be my pick over ZX-14R, though zx14r is a very good bike but it is the Suzuki Hayabusa which won my heart with its fantastic legacy. As you told in your video, i really don't know whether or not i will possess one but i want to take this beauty for one long trip which will quench my thirst of riding a powerful bike on a long highway.
Kawasaki h2 smaller engine than both but bigger horse power...
Kawasaki real king of bikes..
Z1.
Gpz900r.
Zzr1100.
Zx14r
H2..
All ground breaking bikes..
The busa is the first bike I have owned more than 2 years. It is affectionately named Rocinante. shes a 2009, a bit long in tooth but still brings a smile to this ole mans face every time. One time in a weak moment i had thought about selling her, but scraped the pegs shook my head and never entertained that thought again.
So Kawasaki cheated by making a 1400 to beat a 1300, but Suzuki making a 1300 to beat an 1100 wasn't cheating...
I'm a Busa owner & love it 《☆》I would love to have another Ninja one day tho ☻

martin villaflor actually, it made the girl and the busa more attractive. i just can’t take my eyes off when i see a beautiful girl with a beautiful bike together, just awesome
But nobody is talking about how the gsxr 1000 same year makes 12 more hp than the busa and has a faster ZERO TO 60!
personally hayabusa is a great bike we all know that.Suzuki could eazily be the king again with a displacement increase but no suzuki didnt after all people still think thats hayabusa is the king of bikes and it is but if you want a faster bike get a zx14 r but dont tell that its the king of bikes everyone will disagree on that and they are right!my dad had a blackbird then the gen1 hayabusa and from 2008 a gen2 hayabusa which he has till today he says that without a lot of electronic systems its a stable and safe bike also about hayabusas brakes who have the rumours of not good how fast do you except a motorcycle to stop with 266 kg?thats my opinion on this all year legend!
Respect Hayabusa man🉐 from Mauritius
i don't think people understand that the fastest bikes in the world are the GP bikes, they destroy the h2r unless the h2r is HEAVILY modded
