Hi Dylan, You might want to build the school sooner rather than later. It does slow down how quickly you get a laborer, but you people become more efficient so it pays for itself in the long run. Loving the series and keep up the good work.
nice build for sure, actually made me start playing banished and Forest Village again. I would definitely get a well to contain fire and you can use Leather from deer for clothes too. can't wait for the next video. This game always makes a great series
I understand where you're going with more food sources but to really maximize your yield you should put more workers on your existing food production. Anyway, love the series this is one of my favorite games, thanks!
I think using the different designs of the houses would have looked more natural. It really does look like a very productive yes "artificial" village for now! Also why not change the number of laborers to builders when you're building a new area?

when aligning buildings like fishing docks, you can sticky the building when selected and u can see both the radius of placed buildings and the one you want to place. Pretty nifty for multiple things

The name generating on this game always fun, a baby Teen was born lol. Loving this series though, gonna have to go re watch the other Banished series for background noise I think and get my Xandrew fix
Would it beneficial to have stockpiles by the farms so when winter comes and starts to destroying the crops, the farmers don’t have to walk so far so you get more yield
Loving the series. You may know but you get far more food from gatherers than fishermen. Loving rhe pace and growth keep the balance of food to people and you will be fine!!!
To fix the screen tearing you could try to set your game monitors refresh rate to 60Hz in your display settings, if possible, while recording banished. This might make your capture card record in just 60fps too.

Just so you know, you only need one boarding house. The only people who use the boarding house is if there are too many families at the start of the game. And if you have Nomads come to your settlement they will live in it until housing becomes available.
As far as I know, if a citizen of a specific profession, like a builder, has nothing to do because there's no building job or a resource limit is reached, they will do the same stuff as laborers, correct me if I'm wrong though :D

One of my favourite games, 1 to 2 houses a season in early game is the best way, prevents the mass die off in 30 years time.

you need to create temporary stock piles near your work sites so your labourers don't have to carry the stone/logs so far
Packing wooden buildings that close together is just asking for trouble. Fires can spread quite quickly.
For me nomads was a curse and a blessing. It felt like Everytime I took in a group a sickness started in my town.
You can double up on forestry lodges since they both replant trees and trees naturally spawn in.

Another benefit to staggered housing over time is deaths don't come all at once either so population graphs are more smooth

There is a mod that changes the ageing of the people (now it's 5 years of ageing per 1 year.
The only downside is that you'll have more children ..
