Hi, Potato! I found this channel by accident months ago, but it has become one of my favourites! I'm a very old gamer(66) and I like the same games as you, city builders, tycoons, colony management etc. I visit your channel almost every day. I wish you a lot of good work!👍
Hi! Thanks for mentioning my game, World Turtles, again. Note that three BIG factors (UI/UX, terrain triangulation and terrain textures) have been completely reworked since you last looked at the game, so it looks and plays a lot better now, and I'm still happily working on it. Feeding and steering around in space also plays a bigger role already :)
@@robvp71 Hi. Huge Discworld fan, and I chose the (age-old myth) setting due to it (contacted Rhianna Pratchett to make sure it’s OK), but I’m not allowed to make it Discworld specific.
Hi! Thanks a for mentioning Scorchlands! It does help a ton in showing the game to new people. Also, to answer your question of why on earth you play as birds - They add to the game in their character and humour. There are several other reasons like symbolism or their connection to nature and environment (that you yourself create in the game), but I think the main reason is "why not?" :D
@@orbitalpotato I would have never been *actually* upset, just somewhat alarmed and worried about you if you hadn't played it (and I knew if you HAD played it, it would be on the list). It's my GOTY. 😂
I don’t like deep water or battle, but there are so many good games in this video I will probably have to watch it 5 more times while I make a list of games to possibly buy.
As far as I understand, they're basically saying that they'll release up to 1.0 but then they won't get the normal PDX "You'll get 7 DLCs to go with this game!" thing.
I absolutely loved all the additional game recommendations. I'll always listen to additional content about games that may be my cup of tea. Keep up the great work.
I'm currently in the beginning stages of developing a post apocalyptic browser game where you manage a settlement. it won't rely on crazy graphics and will be played on a website like torn city. Im going to work on it by myself in my spare time. I've got lots of ideas for it and hope I'll have the foundation for it complete soon.
Just for curiosity's sake: I missed Highrise City in your list. Wasn't it good enough or did you miss that one out? Anyway, great video and good content on your channel. I like it. Keep going. :)
I can't wait to see New Cycle's EA in a few weeks. They said they're releasing with a campaign, 2 scenarios, and a sandbox with 2 maps! If the price is modest, I think I'll be picking that up.
If a new cycle does everything it claims it will fix my one major gripe with frostpunk. Why can't I just keep playing! I really hope it turns out well I have 100% got my attention on this game.
Maybe consider dividing your videos into finished games and early access. Early access has become a crutch they should just say most of these are done and release updates like AAA titles do. Maybe give a rating of how done it seems.
The devs from Cities skylines just released a video telling everyone who bought cs2 early that they are betatesters, but they didnt mention they where sorry people paid money for this broken garbage. Paradox has burned a lot of trust.
Can this game can come back now the we are at next gen? Scalebound was once a highly anticipated Xbox-exclusive release that revolved around adventuring alongside customized AI-driven dragons. Unfortunately, due to what's been described as issues with Scalebound's photorealistic look and online features, it was canceled in January 2017.
Oh I've played like 300 hours, but it neither released into EA or full release in 2023, so doesn't fit the list. Search my channel for a like 40 episode series!
great list a lot of these look really good i want to check them out. i wouldnt beat on cs2 at all though, that seems weird considering we all know there will be 20 paid expansions and hundreds of updates in the next 10 years. seems like a waste of breath lol
Please help me find this game its like a poly game from top view u have like time to build and then a wave attacks you it has like a really cartoony feeling and you'r troops are like yellow blobs looking like things🙏
@@CatmanITA Steam store page says it's Proton, not native. The demo version on Itch has a native build, but the full release seems to only be on Steam with no native build.

I hope its all joke and you didnt play. How its can be BEST ? only Cities Skylines 2 is ok but already everybody knows that and looking like CS2 game. all these are trash...

Timberborn is my favorite city builder. It is still in early access but it is great. Already have 1000+ hours in it.
I love Timberborn too! Give Revive and Prosper a go too if you're looking for something similar!

_I liked Steamworld Build. However, I don't think it has replayability. After playing through it once, I enjoyed my time, and was satisfied._
I didn't see Against the Storm in the thumbnail so I rage-clicked and . . . immediately relaxed, lmao 😆
It's a GREAT game but it's quite dark and doesn't make for great thumbnails lol, glad you were re-assured!

Just played Thronefall. Thank you for recommending it. I love that game. Came back to this video to buy other games you recommend now 😊

This is the third video I have watched of yours in a row since discovering you. Your lists are real bangers man. Liked and subscribed.
Oh wow, I thought Surviving the Abyss was abandonware - Glad to see it's actually still being developed.

7:35 Myriads: Renaissance reminds me of Driftlands: The Magic Revival. That's a compliment.
I got really addicticted with Against the Storm !!!

very well curated list
Thank you very much for the video, it was great.
There's also another underwater city builder called Abyssals coming soon lol.
Mind over Magic is very fun. I wish I could find related games to that one
thanks for this list. PS the link in the description for cities skylines is to the first title, not the second.
Any good co-op/multiplayer games where you can do competing trade routes and such like the old merchant prince games?
good job

This sounds a bit dramatic. I'm sure I can't be the only one that has actually thoroughly enjoyed cs2 and got dozens of hours out of it already?
Honestly this has been the paradox standard for a long time I don't think they burned any trust with anyone thats bought a previous title on release
Can this game can come back now the we are at next gen?

You're right, I pre-purchased CS2 and I bitterly regret it
It's empty, just not playable enough to compete with CS1

I think you nailed Cities Skylines 2 which is really unfortunate. So much hype and it failed.....for now.
I grew up playing Banished and none of these appeal me. 😢
You forgot the Game INFRASPACE......
Check out list of automation games: th-cam.com/video/QrCb0xQFceQ/w-d-xo.html

Dude, you have a Scottish, Irish and American accent.
I think nothing tops anno 1800.
Against the storm is so boring,,, You cant even build much before the mission is over
Sega Games!!! Hahhaha
The majority are just bad as Steam reviews confirm, so why list games that aren't worth playing for most of us? Oh yeah... your Adsense...
