- The Master Chief and the remaining UNSC forces on Alpha Halo launch a final assault on the wreck site of the Pillar of Autumn, with the intention of detonating the ship's fusion engines to destroy Halo.
The Humans must take back their former ship from Covenant Spec-Ops, Forerunner sentinels and the Flood infestation....which has spread through the entire ring.

guess the ones who went to take the Truth and Reconciliation ended up scrapping the mission and rallying at the Pillar of Autumn... or Jenkins figured out a way to not kill everyone on the ship while still disabling it
I can't stress on how fun this mission was, especially the engine room which alone took me like an half an hour only with the enemies ripping me up on legendary, so when I found out the marines spawn infinitely. I just waited it out until they spawned enough for us to take the engine room, by the time I got to the third engine core they were so many marines if a sentinel, flood or covenant even bother to breath air. There would be a million rounds put into it, best mission ever😂
I'm legit surprised my game didn't crash during the engine room section...even though it was laggy as hell near the end
back in the day there were no marines on this level, just u and the flood in the control room

I love those battles in the hallways.. generaly this mission has everything; heroism.. spooky insertion..bad ass fights.. all races are in.. cool music.. epic warthogrun.. and a damn ending!

This is the scale of war that was expected from next gen halo
Other than Ruby's rebalanced, this I think is my fav Halo CE mod you have showcased. In terms of just turning the dial up to 11 to make it more action packed and generally cool, its amazing! But I also like how the mod has some more thought put into it beyond just increasing the number of NPC's, even having customized cutscenes and some encounters changed to create a different atmosphere, particularly Guilty Spark and the Library. Though I will admit, the cutscene on this level with Spark is pretty comical with how much chaos is going on while he is gleefully categorizing data!
That small section on the engineering room is proof of why ingame cutscenes are superior in every way. Nothing but chaos behind the lightbulb
Honestly I found it insane how massive the hoards were in 343 guilty spark, I genuinely felt horror running down my spine when I saw hundreds of flood combatforms just rushing me

After losing Keyes and most if not all Marines under his command...I dont blame him for that
Loved this whole series, and jesus christ the ending cutscene had me in stitches 😂😂

@@pvt.jonwallace I liked the envirotelling. The blood surrounded by abondoned weapons and helmets.
That elft either the flood assimilating the dead from both Autumns space boarding, crash, and retaking (Fire team raven), or marines squads were ambushed before Cheif could regroup with them.
Ive noticed that this mod use the brute sounds from dead space 😮

I love how you "are saving master chief" as master chief for the ending driving part 😂
Only problem I have with this mod is how marines exist where they shouldn't on various levels. As soon as we finish 343 guilty spark, we shouldn't have any more run-ins with them. The OG campaign instilled in the player the classic feeling of loneliness and despair through that choice as MC tried to escape the ring and flood, the only ally left being himself - in addition to instilling that the flood were all-devouring, and are assumed to be the reason we don't have any more allies left to help us on the way out
I mean lore wise there was a few handfuls of marines left around the autumn defending it while chief detonates the fusion reactors

Nearly lost it watching the monitor's little cutscene and the chaos that was going on during it.
yet more proof old school ingame cutscenes are superior to pre rendered CGI...
god only knows how long the strike force elites had to put up with the monitors blathering before the chief showed up. The commentary directed at the chief was the final straw, the elites have had enough!

They should have had 3 more marines in the warthog. To represent Stacker, Dubbo, and another marine I can’t remember the name of that canonically survives.
Way more survived on top of stacker and Dubbo. An ONI lieutenant, a pilot and an ODST alongside Johnson who escaped Halo on a pelican on First Strike
@@pvt.jonwallace Unlike the pelican crew & Linda, it's never been explained how Stacker & Dubbo survived.
Im pretty sure other people managed to escape the ring but we never encountered them.
Thats the only logical explanation, unless I am missing something

On something unrelated; recently I came across a video on beating Halo CE on legendary as a marine. That was one of the best performing video of that creator. You should have a look at that. Cause he also had a very hard time doing that.
