Everybody goes through suffering the rich and the poor alike. Even if you're a billionaire you're still have some kind of poverty.

Hmmm... this guy sounds more like a Protestant at the end of the video where he mentions his insertions subtle insertions against the Pope's viewpoints. And then he brings up birth control. Well he did say in some instances it was the way that he handled this to these people sitting in the room which can mislead these Christians on the wrong path. He was doing fine up until that point.

This guy is a Catholic Priest and he doesn't understand the writings of Humanae Vitae or why contraception is considered an intrinsic evil? He would do well to read the Catechism of the Catholic Church. No wonder so many Catholics are so poorly catechized when there are priests like this spreading false doctrine. To sum it up it is considered evil since the person is not open to the possibility of participating in the creation of life through holy matrimony
and is in essence saying no to God.

I agree, there is something really wrong with this individual. Jesus himself called the God of the old testament his Father and this guy is saying that the old testament God and the new testament God are different Gods.
He sounds like the very Pharisees Jesus condemned. Talk about goats in sheep's clothing. I wonder if he got that uniform in one of those Halloween costumes shop.

This priest is not a Roman Catholic. He is an independent Catholic. But in this video, he is articulating what M.Peck's book is about. I do however agree with you with a lot of what you say as the bible is the inspired word of God. It is in understanding the bible that we rely on the guidance of the magisterium of the Roman Church and this teaching is based on the original deposit of faith given to us by the Apostles. God bless

That is his point don't take what somebody else said find out for your self then be true to that

Yes, the priest is saying that it is okay to use your own common sense and to think for yourself, and not just blindly accept anything without testing it, no matter where it came from. If God wanted automatons then he clearly would not have created human beings. Without a conscience attuned to the Golden Rule we couldn't be much further from God. Isn't it really that simple? How often people in organized religion get that wrong and crucify their neighbor to worship a rule (or for some other, even more egotistical reason). We are all made in God's image. Rules are to support life and to reduce suffering. "Man was not made for the sabbath, but the sabbath for man." As far as contraception is concerned, is that really a hill you want to die on?
