@josiahburrell1618 Yea, that can be worrying considering what I was talking about with Girls Planet in which Xiaoting who had never left pass 3rd and then BAMM drops down to 16th. But I feel like he's definitely got the talent and if he can adapt well to the Korean culture while showing his sincerity, he'll still have a chance.
@luffypirateking1068 Ohh thats great to hear. He's definitely within the top tier of more views so that's a good sign. I mean you can't completely deny talent so if he can continue to show what he's got then atleast he's making a bit more progress to hopefully debuting.
@@Felixander that’s exactly what I’m doing as well, because I although I love a lot of my k boys like Hanbin Junseo Gunwook and Jiwoong, we can easily see they are way appreciated by Koreans since they’re all within top 20 while my top g picks have a chance at not making it😭😭 if Koreans are gonna be petty with voting global trainees we’ll have to do the same and remember the votes are 50/50 so we still have a chance at an actual global boy group
Omg, yea. Excited to see what his next performances are like. Also with the way it's been edited, I think MNET is trying to set him up with Sung Hanbin as the reunited besties that you should root for together. So he's got a bit of a story line to make him more memorable too.
Aww that's cute. Not that active on Tik Tok but that's sounding pretty good like extra promo for him too and Tik Tok feeds are random right? So that vid might hit algorithm jackpot and BAMM, more attention for him.
Thanks, will do. Kinda surprised that I condensed that two hours show to 14 minutes though hahaha. But yea, you've got some good picks like Jay, Zhang Hao and Winnie. Some of them I had to search up but just realized they hadn't aired their auditions yet. Really excited to see the last sets of auditions though.
I definitely think the global trainees did better overall then the Korean trainees. I just know mnet is going to want the group to be 80% Korean trainees. My guess is the final group (if they stick with the final 9) will be 6-7 korean and 2-3 global
Yea something similar to Kep1er? I mean that sounds plausible but I do wonder and what point will they recongise talent over their ethnicity. I mean also surely with more years, there may be a bit more appreciation and open-mindedness where talent becomes the focal factor for others to consider.
Nice choices, all of them have showed great potentials within their audition so excited to see how they do within the next few rounds. And then there's Hui which we obviously now that he'll do good hahaha.
Nice picks, I wanna say that they Vietnam team will probably be my underdog team. They really have that foundation on lock and so it's about them learning more techniques to stand out more to the crowds. A bit unfortunate that they had to cut their audition out though. But also who's Kim Junhyeon? Couldn't find that name on the list of contestants. Closest one would be Lee Jeong Hyeon.
Thanks for the support. But omg yea, Jellyfish lowkey felt like the standard ngl. Their audition make me certain that they defs have the skills to be in preparation to debut ASAP. Like at this point, Boys Planet is just a marketing tool to generate a fanbase and hype for once they return back to the company.
I mean some people are obviously more talented than others but remember guys that the song choices are given to the contestants, setting some up right in the beginning. I’ll wait until the first real round, there will probably some more surprises.
Yesss, that!!! But also, they highly edit these clips when watching the broadcast. When I went over the full audition clips, some actually sounded better than how they showed it during the broadcast so none of these opinions will solidify and things can always change too.
Ohh sweet, Thanks :) Probably a bit blind and didn't read that part properly. Luckily the next sets of audition will air next week so I'll start committing to a Top 9 Picks but maybe I'll throw honorable mentions too if there's just way too many eye catching contestants.
Hahaha really?? Ngl, I don't really have a system to this. I think subconsciously I'm really just using previous performance to compare them. Planning to upload the second ep soon so it'd be lowkey funny if we gave the same stars rating for that too.
I'm concerned for the show as a whole. Maybe 4-5 contestants could support (singing) and the rest cannot be qualified for any vocals. The dancing was alright there and there, but the stage presence was to cry for as well. I haven't seen any wow-ing raps either. Compared to the early Produce series this Mnet survival season seems to be a joke. It would've made more sense to call it Dance Planet instead. The judges were very weird too. I'm glad at some point the vocal coaches spoke up that there were no vocals to judge, but that was about it. The stars rankings often didn't make sense and you could heavily tell there was bias already from the show producers themselves. Yet I mostly find comments of kpop fans hyping these performances that were straight up terrible, so there is a huge disconnect with the original Produce audiences and the current Boys Planet audiences. I def feel alienated to remotely talk objectively about skill somewhere about this show as most people sugarcoat what is truly going on.
Yea, I kinda get what you're saying. I mean taste on opinions are all subjective so we're all entitled to our opinions. That singing comment made by Lee Seok Hoon was kinda true because even I was noticing more performance had better dancing than vocals. But I think what's one of the better things about these is that their audition isn't their peak. They'll get more exposure on stages, get training for dance and vocals and hopefully we'll see greater improvement as more episodes air. I mean if we look all the produce groups from when they first audition to the finale to now where they are now in their music career, you can clearly see a contrasting difference of improvement for most of them. But yea, we'll just have to see the final remaining auditions to really see what the foundational skills are for the upcoming boy group.
Ohh nice, just watched it and Ollie seems pre good. For sure haven't noticed rapping as a standout thing but I mean the contestants who want to be rapper will surely show themselves more prominent through the next few rounds.
Thanks for watching :) Defs not trying to be to hateful considering MNET's evil editing like with Fu Yanning and Cai Bing, and just many other instances where they are trying to create this narrative for us to gullibly fall into. I will try to continue being as constructive when reviewing.
Omg yea, so much of the full audition do some of the contestants more justice. That's one of the few things that MNET do that isn't illegal but unethical in that they can strategically reinforce certain contestant for us to remember when we place our votes.
Hahahaha truly though. It sounds like I'm sugar coating it but I don't think I am. What they aired was a mess for sure but if you watch the full audition clip, their singing wasn't bad during the start and ending. I'm talking about singing only because their co-ordination and being on beat is another story. Surely, right? Or am I giving too much leeway because they're foreigners?
Ohh nice, who's one pick that I don't have that you have or if there's none, then do you have that number one, ride or die pick that you think you'll continue to support if you were only able to vote for one person? But yea, it's such a shame that they decided to cut Winnie's audition because he's got the foundation on lock. Unless you're committed or an avid watcher, he might go under the radar unless they actually show him performing. Hopefully we get to see him blossom and surely more naturally more attention will come too.
@@cloudchungxiao Yeah, two picks that I have that you didn’t have were Min and Anthony but thats fine. Also my number one ride or die would definitely be Jay! I love his vocals and even before he was even announced to be on boys planet I would watch some of his covers. I really wish to see him debut since this is most likely his last chance.
Ohh nice, Min and Anthony are pretty good picks. I defs understand why they would be peoples pick but just at the moment it hasn't clicked with me with them. Will defs have my eyes on them though. As for Jay, he's really good. Really excited to see more from him. Covers? Sounds like he's been around, might have to check them out.
Yea, with more auditions and then each round of new performances there is defs gonna be many changes from everyone's top picks. Kinda excited to be able to host these discussion with people.
Loving the picks, will have to check out Yu Geng when his audition airs. You're also like the third person who has mentioned Zhang Hao and now I'm wondering did I miss something hahaha.
My top pick is jay, but I’m worried because he’s a global trainee and Koreans have been heavily voting k trainees😢😢
I think his rank will go up a lot in the next ep since his audition clip is one of the most viewed and liked ones
@josiahburrell1618 Yea, that can be worrying considering what I was talking about with Girls Planet in which Xiaoting who had never left pass 3rd and then BAMM drops down to 16th. That’s why I’m being forced to be petty and only vote for G trainees. I know my vote counts less than theirs so I have to save my g group boys.
My top picks definitely SEOK MATTHEW
The guy shone ✨️
Omg, yea. Excited to see what his next performances are like. Also with the way it's been edited, I think MNET is trying to set him up with Sung Hanbin as the reunited besties that you should root for together. So he's got a bit of a story line to make him more memorable too.
@@cloudchungxiao The fact that I saw his sister make a TikTok asking people to go support him before the show even aired!! so I'm excited for him
Aww that's cute. Not that active on Tik Tok but that's sounding pretty good like extra promo for him too and Tik Tok feeds are random right? So that vid might hit algorithm jackpot and BAMM, more attention for him.
lolll "the singing was not bad... 0.5 stars" that was really funny. also, this is my first time watching your channel, I'll definitely sub!
Hahahaha thanks, i really tried. I thought surely that 0.5 encapsulated potential too
I like the recap part, keep it in :)
My top picks rn are: Jay, Zhang Hao, Lee Hwanhee, Hiroto, Choi Jiho, Winnie & Kim Minhyuk.

My top top picks are Jay and Matthew, other than them I like Haruto, Winnie, Chen Kuan Jui, Park Gun-Wook, Kim Gyuvin, Sung Hanbin, and Hui.
Nice choices, all of them have showed great potentials within their audition so excited to see how they do within the next few rounds. And then there's Hui which we obviously now that he'll do good hahaha.
My top 9: 1. Hanbin 2. Gunwook 3. Hui 4.Yujin 5. Zhang Hao 6. Majiang Xiang 7. Matthew 8.krystian 9.(open)
Ohh nice, you've got some great picks. Only haven't heard about Ma Jing Xiang so will keep my eyes out on him.

1. Han Yujin

@@cloudchungxiao It's actually Kim Gyuvin, my phone keyboard are messed up
Hahaha right, another great choice. Defs a stacked team. Will be interesting to see how much things change over time.
My Top picks are the boys from Jellyfish, they were amazing! And I loved your video💕

Jay is my new fav ❤❤❤❤
Yea, his voice is very different and I can see him adding a little bit of spice to the group's music if he debuts.
I mean some people are obviously more talented than others but remember guys that the song choices are given to the contestants, setting some up right in the beginning. I’ll wait until the first real round, there will probably some more surprises.

The show confirmed that 9 people will debut in the first episode
Ohh sweet, Thanks :) Probably a bit blind and didn't read that part properly. Luckily the next sets of audition will air next week so I'll start committing to a Top 9 Picks but maybe I'll throw honorable mentions too if there's just way too many eye catching contestants.
@@cloudchungxiao You’re welcome, I think it was a quick clip in the beginning before the show actually started
Right, okay make sense.
Bruh we literally have the same stars given in each performance. Ngl it kinda scares me how I think of it in my brain, AND THEN YOU SAY IT.
Hahaha really?? Ngl, I don't really have a system to this. I think subconsciously I'm really just using previous performance to compare them. Planning to upload the second ep soon so it'd be lowkey funny if we gave the same stars rating for that too.

For the rapping, both Kamden and Ollie were pretty good. You should check out Ollie's rap in the staring contest video, he's so good bur underrated.
