  • Branded Voiceless Voice with board breakers and no hand traps! In depth deck profile
    UK Open 9th Place, 7-1-1, 370 players
    German Open 15th Place, 7-2, 512 players
    Matchups you can see on twitter (link below)
    I now have 228 worlds points!
    Another thing to add is that even though there was no extra deck space for a thing to summon with Odd-Eyes, I think the Odd-Eyes is still worth siding as normally the random 3k vanilla you get from using the negate effect doesn’t make a difference

    As a branded player, I love your reasoning for running proskenion as a s.poly target. I was already running it due to it being able to banish princess, but with this new knowledge of it being a decent s.poly target into some other match ups (the mirrormatch, vv, etc) there is no chance I play quaertis or lulu over it

    In a build like this, one thing I really like is siding a Dark Magician and running Dragoon in the extra. You side DM in for Jowgen going 2nd into decks that don't put up negates. DM becomes your Dark target to send for Lubellion if you get Shiftered, like in your Floo example. It also really helps with otks as the Burn damage is huge, and he's a massive pain for a lot of decks to out.

    • @LukeTylerYGO
      @LukeTylerYGO  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I actually tried this at a regional haha
      I wasn’t against the idea, but didn’t like the slots it took up and against floo if they shifter me when I have Branded Fusion I can just keep it for next turn since they don’t otk anyway
      It was a consideration for Kashtira/VS though

    • @francisbartoszewski2284
      @francisbartoszewski2284 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LukeTylerYGO That's fair, it's definitely a personal preference thing.
      We have fairly similar builds, one big thing I differ on is I double up on Mirrorjade and Albion. This way I put Albion and Albaz back with Lubellion when making Mirrorjade #1.
      Now when I use Mirrorjade's eff sending Albion, Albion will search me Branded Fusion in End Phase, so now on turn 3 I can immediately Branded Fusion for Albion #2 to make MirrorJade #2 or Sanctifire depending on the board state.
      This is usually too much gas for my opponent, especially if their end board had just been blown up because they outed the first Mirrorjade. If I go the Sanctifire route, I also have the option of quick eff reviving Albaz to make Mirrorjade #2 that way, and in this scenario his effect will still be live as there will still be the 2nd Albion in the extra deck.

      I think I’d be more inclined to try hand traps with voiceless in the new format (post Lede) because of stuff like combo decks and Tenpai, but I’ll have to test more to know for sure

    can you tell me the thought process behind pulling pre-prep going 2nd against snake-eyes?? i feel like its great searching the Sauravis for protection against princess/s:P. well i guess phantazmay helps covers it to: incredible deckbuilding and congrats!

    • @LukeTylerYGO
      @LukeTylerYGO  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      With the 6th card going second I you don’t need as much engine in your deck - and normally S:P will get used on something that Sauravis can’t protect like Barrier or Saffira in gy (or they’ll chain block it) + like you mentioned Phantazmay also acts as targeting protection
      And pre-prep could potentially end up folding to droll, and is another card that gets turned off by anti-spell
      It’s still good going second, but so far I’ve found that it is slightly worse than Prosperity since it cannot pick up tech cards - though sometimes I was trying going to 2 Prosp - PrePrep post siding as Prosp can conflict with Phantazmay in my own turn
      Also thanks!

    • @DDgaming2478
      @DDgaming2478 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@LukeTylerYGO appreciate the quick response. I was so close at my 400 man regional (went X2 with a draw) for my invite, (played handtrap VV with Branded engine no jowgen lock) and I was cooked by talents, cross-out and droplet all day.
      Performed well over all but watching this I can 100% see my deck building errors in the side. I really like your decision on playing breakers instead and judgment as your going first card.
      (I played DDG I wanted something chainable vs snake eye, branded and whatever else over the summon limit/anti spell since everyone is on cosmic.
      And foolish return was genius. round 1 I lost 2-1 to Branded (I main decked 1 Magnamhut; with 3 belle in side) and auto lost to puppet twice with them getting to mercourier game 1 and 3.

    • @LukeTylerYGO
      @LukeTylerYGO  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I’ve given some thought to board breaker kash after this event, and there definitely is the potential to play board breakers so that when you don’t draw shifter the goal becomes to crack their board
      The issue with this though is that even after you board breaker them they still have Promethean which can be an issue, whereas Voiceless has more answers to the Promethean
      And thank you!

    • @stephenfarmer8002

    What is your reasoning behind not playing any target for the odd-eyes dragon ? You don't play meteorburst or vortex ?

    • @LukeTylerYGO
      @LukeTylerYGO  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I valued the utility of super poly to cover branded, which took up the extra deck space instead, and generally found the random vanilla-ish monster that Vortex summons wasn’t making a big difference in the outcome of games - though I would of course play it without branded fusion as there would be plenty more space

    • @LukeTylerYGO
      @LukeTylerYGO  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Ah that was a mistake yeah I side out of 1 Sauravis vs floo going second (like vs Branded), but I like keeping in odd eyes going second vs floo because I can use it to either negate map so that my normal summon goes through, or use it to negate their follow up
