Hi +mjlorton your Flir E4 has a sensor resolution of 320x240 pixel - it is just crippled via software to 80x60 pixel and some noise is also added to cripple the sensitivity from 0,06 °C to 0,15 °C. You may fix that crippleware "bug" by editing a config file - just search for that issue ;)

Great video Martin! I do quite a bit with thermal and have various units. Have you ever played with the Seek Thermals? I have 2 Android and 1 IOS both fixed focus and XR. Also, if you have not already, check out Flukes Full HD thermal. I can't imagine how much that beast costs!
+Eric Haney Thanks Eric. I had a very quick play with the Seek as it was on loan to me from a friend. I've seen a demonstration of the top Fluke cameras and they are very impressive. The level of detail they can "see" and the flexibility of changing lenses for various applications makes them very versatile...but you pay for that!

+swunt10 I never said a black hole is used for black body theory. But yes, color theory should have been called broad spectrum light theory (if you want to ignore the perception from an observer). When you have the same time and effort to give a constructive answer, instead of moaning, I am looking forward to your response.
