My 2023 figure of the year has to be Bank Robber Joker. That head sculpt is a thing of beauty. BUT the only reason why its so high up is because I have sourced a matching bag and Glock with him. He so needed them, without them he wouldn't crack top 5.
This was a fantastic year for figure and DC multiverse. I can't argue with any of these. Catman is really awesome. The Knightfall buck came out first so it's sort of still a Batman figure ;)
Holding Knightfall Batman felt like the toys I used to play with grew up with me. McFarlane nailed the design and made a more mature looking blue and gray suited Batman.
My #1 is easily the flash movie batman, then the knightfall batman, the page puncher Lee batman, both versions of black manta, the gold label flash. Hawkman, firestorm, catman, both versions of the blue beetle movie figs,black lightning, brainiac Mr freeze, comic version. ❤😂
Hands down for me, the Sinestro Chase Variant. Never have I ever seen or owned a figure that was not only beautifully sculpted and painted, but told an actual story about the character just from the paint application. Showing his slow decline and transition from being a Green Lantern to inevitably becoming a Yellow Lantern perfectly captures the definitive Sinestro character in figure form.
In the enchanted tapestry of the DC Multiverse, my heart beats loudest for Batman: Dark Knights of Steel. The fusion of my two loves-superheroes and fantasy-takes flight as my beloved icons stride through a medieval realm. Witnessing Batman, draped in armor, embodying the essence of a knight, melds seamlessly with his "Dark Knight" legend. It's a dream woven into reality. The figure, a masterpiece etched in meticulous detail, evokes awe, though the card's narrative fell short. My favorite figure from 2023 has to be Hush Batman. Not only was it one of the first Batman comics I read, but specifically the blue version has such a shelf presence. I’m a big fan of Jim Lee and I think they nailed the sculpt in his art style.
I gotta say, my favourite figure of the year was probably the Dick Grayson Robin from earlier this year. I love Robin, the Boy Wonder is one of my favourite characters in DC and getting a pixie boots and scaled shorts version of the kid from this line was my most wanted thing since I started collecting. When it released, it was amazing. All the extra hands, the Jim Lee inspired headsculpt, the bat-rope? Id argue Robin was the turning point for the uptick in quality we’ve seen from Todd recently. Robin was my favourite fig of this year!

It's hard to pick just one, because I like so many for different reasons... 2023 was a great year for collector's cases, Vehicles & Gold Label exclusives, Batman Ultimate Movie Collection, '89 Batmobile/Batwing/Storm the Seahorse, DC vs Vampires & Flashpoint wave were all really great. The New Collector's Editions have really got my attention though, & so my Dc Multiverse Figure of the Year goes to: Collector's Edition Platinum Chase Sinestro. That particular moment in Sinestro's Career is a defining moment, & to have it captured in plastic in such exquisite detail is amazing & I am so grateful to have it in my collection!
The only problem I have with the Page Puncher's Black Manta is that his head seems entirely too narrow to fit a human skull in it. I have that one sitting in back of the classic Black Manta as an android version or something.
I really liked the Aquaman one. That big dome just screamed classic too me and I use him as my comic book representation. Not much into the movie designs
My favorite mcfarlane DC Multiverse figure of 2023 is actually the Storm Mount, it may be considered as a vehicle of some sort, but I really enjoyed the figure, it actually made me enjoy my aqua man movie figures more. Now if I will be choosing from the action figures only, it would be the Batman Hush Black Variant (re-release) the figure just screams Batman to me.😅
This is probably a major unpopular opinion but my favourite figure from this year was actually the Flash movie Batman (Affleck)I understand the head sculpt is….that…but I have to admit. his silhouette, Size. Articulation and overall intimidation factor when amongst all my other figures really stands out as my ideal Batman figure (for now) and my first introduction to the cloth capes really opened my eyes for the future
I like that figure as well. I agree that despite not looking movie accurate its still a badass looking Batman overall. Very underrated and hated on but to each is own.
I would say my favourite figure of the year has gotta be the Lost Kingdom Black Manta figure. I adore the first Aquaman movie it is like a throwback to Sam Rami superhero movie with modern sensibilities so I'm of course very hyped by the new movie. So seeing the range of figures for the movie made me drool to say the least. Love the Aquaman figure itself but when i got a hold of the Black Manta figure, i was blown away. The design is so clean and simple but without being bland and boring and just has a presence amongst my other figures. It also just has some weight to it, makes it feel like its worth more than what i paid for it. On top of that if we ever get a really good New 52 style Aquaman figure it will fit in perfectly with it
My favorite Mcfarlane figure of the year would be Knightfall Batman because that was my intro to comics as a kid. I also loved the fighting the frozen pagepuncher batman and the movie 6 pack because I can always use more Batman figures.

The Batman figure boasts an amazing design and a unique display stand that sets it apart from the rest. Meanwhile, the Robin figure captures his cheerful essence perfectly with a beautifully sculpted head and fantastic accessories, including alternate hands and a sleek batarang. Both of these figures have truly won me over with their attention to detail and stunning aesthetics.
Some of my favorites not mentioned were Knightfall Catwoman, Mr. Freeze, Dark Knight Two Face, and Keaton Batman! Such a great year of releases from Mcfarlane!

My favourites DC multiverse of this year (i bought in Spain): Knightfall Catwoman, amazing sculpt and incredible female character. Heath Ledger Joker, spectacular Abyss, very cool new character Val Kilmer Batman from the Batman movie collection, very nice color and the face IS very similar.
My favorite figure from this year is ultimately Knightfall Batman. Is he a good toy, sure. He looks iconic, articulates well and looks great next to other Leaguers. But that’s not the main reason. For one, Denny O’Neil and JL International Batman are my favorite iterations of the character. And Knightfall Batman looks straight out of the pages of those books. Also, it’s damn difficult and damn expensive to get any of these toys in Croatia, let alone such a popular figure. So I had to fight tooth and nail to get him.

This is because I tend to agree with most the stuff you say, so you’ve become a reliable source of “should I buy this toy or no” lol. I can also very much relate to when you’re complaining about distribution outside the US.
Def gotta be the gladidator batman which I think is slept on. There are a lot of mixed opinions on the Dark Knights Metal comic run itself , but I think elsewhere batmans is where Mcfarlane's scultps really shine. The dynamic royal burgandy cape with the literal bats as shoulder pads make him a bold shell presence(not to mention his gladitor metal helmet). There are a lot of good figures, but this one goes perfect with mcfarlane's old spawn like details in the rustic gear appeal. Mcfarlane nailed the adaption to the cover of the comic as well.

Secondly I know it’s a rerelease but the bat raptor with bats 2023 rerelease is my favourite this year! I missed it the first time and never thought I’d be able to snatch it up again so easily. However he wouldn't be number 1. For me, it's a toss up between Knightfall Batman and Superman Injustice 2. I wanted a classic and modern look and I feel that these two figures absolutely represent that. Looking forward to your next upload.
My top three would be Alan Scott Green Lantern, Firestorm, and one that surprised me the most just from an action figure standpoint and coming out of left field was the Page Punchers Fighting the Frozen Batman aka: Caveman Batman
I have to say Donna Troy Getting her in hand made feel like I was Reading Dc rebirth Titans number 1 in high school putting her on my Titans shelf and setting her up with Nightwing aqua lad just felt like I was back in high school Great figure

Great list! I was unfortunate to pick up an Abyss with a broken elbow. Haven't opened my Poison Ivy yet but it's such a McFarlane thing to do to give us an alternate version of the figure we actually want. But would you have really bought Thurman Ivy if we had gotten Hush Ivy first? Never really thought about my top 10, but some I'd consider: Firestorm Knightfall Batman Movie Blue Beetle Page Punchers Ocean Master Flashpoint Flash Caveman Batman Shazam FotG Wonder Woman Injustice 2 Brainiac Classic Riddler I'm cheating for the last one because they were meant to go together: Movie hero suit Aquaman on Storm. About the only thing that can rival Death Metal Batman on the Death Metal Batcycle.
Gotta mention Vampire Hal Jordan, solo release Blue Beetle (Kord), Catman is great!, Injustice 2 Superman is a wonder of texture, sculpt, and paint, Keaton Batman, Aqualad!!, blue and grey Hush Batman, and yes Sinestro is great!
Definitely the zack Snyder justice superman. Superman is my favorite superhero of all time. I have a man of steel tattoo even. Seeing that figure in the store light me up and I was so excited. It may not be the best overall but it's my favorite. That movie andhl Henry cavills superman has motivated me so much in the gym. I just had to have it.
This is going to be BLAND but my top figure is neck and neck, Kyle rayner and captain atom, I’m personally leaning towards cap atom, I don’t like the character as much as I LOVE kyle, I’m such a kyle fanboy but goddd that captain atom has a grip hold on me, it’s very basic, but he has that metallic paint all around, he had great effects, his head sculpt was so so so GOOD. It genuinely felt like he popped out of the comics, hell I didn’t even know him all too much before I got the figure, having him is the only reason I ever got a captain atom comic
In my opinion we got a really great start to the Collector's Edition figures! Alan Scott GL, COIE Firestorm, Zero Hour Hawkman and Sinestro have all looked so great from my perspective. I'm glad Blue Beetle looks phenomenal, I've been considering purchasing him but I've been pretty hard-line on comics-only figures with the exception of the Arkham City wave (Solomon Grundy BAF). HARD agree on Black Manta. I thought that the blades weren't removable at first but when I got him on hand, my goodness. He looks phenomenal when you pose him fighting against Aquaman, and he looks great on my shelf along with my current Legion of Doom members. Can't wait to add Sinestro to it too. Poison Ivy looks great! Hopefully they use the body for a future comics-accurate Poison Ivy in the future. She looks she could fit in a Legion of Doom shelf also, at least as a placeholder. Knightfall Batman, Flash Jay Garrick, GL Alan Scott and Classic Riddler are in my top 10 at the moment, but it could change once I probably get a hold of Doomsday/Superman, Sinestro, Hawkman and Firestorm. I feel that Raven in the Beast Boy BAF also looks amazing. It's actually great (even though it's been crippling for my wallet) that we're getting some really great classic looking figures! Especially with Red Tornado, Wonder Woman, Animal Man etc. coming out in the next year or so.

Gotta mention Vampire Hal Jordan, solo release Blue Beetle (Kord), Catman is great!, Injustice 2 Superman is a wonder of texture, sculpt, and paint, Keaton Batman, Aqualad!!, blue and grey Hush Batman, and yes Sinestro is great!
Definitely the zack Snyder justice superman. Superman is my favorite superhero of all time. I have a man of steel tattoo even. Seeing that figure in the store light me up and I was so excited. It may not be the best overall but it's my favorite. That movie andhl Henry cavills superman has motivated me so much in the gym. I just had to have it.

This is going to be BLAND but my top figure is neck and neck, Kyle rayner and captain atom, I’m personally leaning towards cap atom, I don’t like the character as much as I LOVE kyle, I’m such a kyle fanboy but goddd that captain atom has a grip hold on me, it’s very basic, but he has that metallic paint all around, he had great effects, his head sculpt was so so so GOOD. It genuinely felt like he popped out of the comics, hell I didn’t even know him all too much before I got the figure, having him is the only reason I ever got a captain atom comic
Kyle is great, but wasn’t he 2022? 😃 Captain Atom is very elegant

In my opinion we got a really great start to the Collector's Edition figures! Alan Scott GL, COIE Firestorm, Zero Hour Hawkman and Sinestro have all looked so great from my perspective. I'm glad Blue Beetle looks phenomenal, I've been considering purchasing him but I've been pretty hard-line on comics-only figures with the exception of the Arkham City wave (Solomon Grundy BAF).
HARD agree on Black Manta. I thought that the blades weren't removable at first but when I got him on hand, my goodness. He looks phenomenal when you pose him fighting against Aquaman, and he looks great on my shelf along with my current Legion of Doom members. Can't wait to add Sinestro to it too.
Poison Ivy looks great! Hopefully they use the body for a future comics-accurate Poison Ivy in the future. She looks she could fit in a Legion of Doom shelf also, at least as a placeholder.
Knightfall Batman, Flash Jay Garrick, GL Alan Scott and Classic Riddler are in my top 10 at the moment, but it could change once I probably get a hold of Doomsday/Superman, Sinestro, Hawkman and Firestorm. I feel that Raven in the Beast Boy BAF also looks amazing. It's actually great (even though it's been crippling for my wallet) that we're getting some really great classic looking figures! Especially with Red Tornado, Wonder Woman, Animal Man etc. coming out in the next year or so.
