  • Figured I'd share my ZJ tie rod upgrade with you.
    Simple easy bolt on upgrade.
Get the following parts for a 95 Grand Cherokee with a V8
    Moog part numbers
ES3096 Tie rod end (short) 21.99 @ Autozone
    DS1312 Long tie Rod 34.99 @ Autozone
    ES2097S Adjustment Sleeve 15.99 @ Auto zone
The Tie Rod end is MUCH thicker, The Tie Rod bar is thicker and Soild not hollow like the stock XJ one. When you put them side by side the XJ Tie Rod looks like a joke compared to the ZJ one.
    awesome mud tires cheap!!

Nice video! I have a Feb. 1993 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo 4×4 with the I6 4.0 It still has "all" its stock suspension/front-end parts on it. My question is: Would this have the beefier parts on it or would I have to purchase upgraded parts by Moog/Autozone for my 93 Grand Cherokee Laredo ZJ? Thx for your informative help.

I love your Channel and videos. I like the idea of the low center of gravity build because I'm short lol and so is my wife.
I have a hand me down 94 Cherokee SE. It's got all the good stuff and none of the crap. 4.0L HO, AW4, Non disconnect high pinion Dana 30, Chrysler 8.25 with a factory LSD. It had factory Skip plates front and rear and no AC. My plan is just enough lift to get some 31 inch tire on it.
I need to replace the rear leaf springs and not sure if I should buy a 3 inch lift with Leafs or go with a 2 inch spacer kit and factory replacement springs.

If you are going to actually use it off road please go ahead and buy a good 3 in spring replacement lift kit, you will also need a track bar kit and some lower control arms. Don't go cheap.
