I installed jba UCA's on my 2004 4Runner - finally decided to set correct caster after over 15 years of driving with 4 deg off with no issues.
When I got the UCA's, I noticed that the boots are not tight on the bolts and there is an aluminum bushing between the knuckle and the boot. I called jab and asked about this unconventional "solution", and they assured me that everything was fine and as intended. I assumed that for that kind of money, they would do it right. WRONG!
In less than a year, the ball joints have failed (yes, I lubed living hell out of them every time I did an oil change) because the boot was loose, and water/sand got inside and ruined the joint. It was not an accident - it was a case of lousy design and/or implementation.
Needless to say, their warranty doesn't cover ball joints...
I was told that chevy silverado joints have the same configuration without jba's defect. As much as I hate putting anything chevy on my Toyota, I have no choice.
    BUYER BE WARE!!!

Those Jackstands have been recalled. They'll let go at the slightest nudge even under load.

Where did you get your hoop steps? Toyota doesn't seem to know who makes their aftermarket parts.

Hi Issac, an aftermarket UCA is important for getting camber/caster back into spec, and letting the new suspension work to its full potential.

Had mine installed professionally end of August and started hearing a creaking noise a month later. Noise comes and goes, but super annoying since the 4runner has never seen dirt and has been just a daily driver on concrete. Seems to be coming from the lower mounting bearing because when the lower shock mount bolt is loosened, the noise goes away. Any idea what may be going on here?

Have a shop check the lower rubber bushing and steel sleeve that the lower bolt goes through. Mine has been on pavement more than off and a year after the install the driver's side sleeve was flattening and pushing the bushing out. The passenger side had signs of it starting to do it but the drivers side started leaning and squeak like hell on easy bumps and when I would turn from the road to my driveway or any place.
Been almost a year and low and behold it's doing it again. Same thing.
I have looked all over the internet to see if I could find a replacement and have my shop put it on but no luck.
I contacted my shop and waiting to hear back also contacted toytec and waiting to hear back.

I will pass and I will invest my money. When I bought my fourth 4X4, a Tacoma TRD, I had enough experience to see the utter stupidity of damaging a truck to amuse myself. I accept there are impassable roads we shouldn't take in life. Try walking.
