I hope you enjooy this tote bag tutorial as well as the free pattern offered by bagstock designs. seriously still can't believe I made this tote bag. Everything came together beautiful and just worked so well! The quilt cotton, the faux leather, and the rose gold hardware all just work so beautifully together! I am amazed.

I am sorry about that. It can be really hard figuring out the right balance on what everyone watching would like to see.
Would you suggest that the Decovil be applied inside the seam allowances so that the final topstitch around the rim isn’t a problem?
It will definitely make it easier to sew if you don't have an industrial.

@@krisr3493 I used faux leather and it was really easy to sew. The Decovil I used as a stabilizer make it a little more difficult, but the leather was really easy to sew.

It’s a very cute bag! I’ve been wanting to try sewing with faux leather when making bags. It looks like it would be pretty easy. So far I’ve only used quilting cottons when making my bags. Do you have a tutorial on how to make your own zippers? I haven’t used those before. I’ve only used the already made zippers.

My tips with using zipper by the yard would be to cut them a bit longer than what the pattern calls for. Just an inch or two because when I put the slider doesn't always go on even.

Does this bag stand up on its own, without the Flex Foam?
No. It’s pretty flimsy.
