The “all tails mains have bad rounds” made me feel so much better, I miss a lot 😀
As a Tails main (prior Amy main), here's a few extra things to take note of:
In terms of playstyle, you should ALWAYS be using Tails as a sniper. Shots are simply easier to hit from farther away, and long ranged saves are the most valuable type of shot from Tails. You can also incorporate arm cannon into your stun chains, just get the timing down.
There's a few different situations where Sonic.EXE could be easier or harder to shoot.
By far the easiest type of shot is when an EXE is on a ladder. He moves at a set speed and he's extremely predictable here.
Then there's during a grab, he is slow and usually walks in a straight line, so it's easy to get him.
Running in a straight line is pretty easy to get, provided your MS isn't that high.
Saving people during a chase is the hard one, but it's definitely possible, just predict where he will go and shoot ahead of there.
If you get stuck up close, just pray to god. Tails has the widest hitbox in the game and the only jump that you can hit during, so just juke out and pray you get lucky enough for glide to go off cooldown. You can also get hit during glide, so try and use it in an unpredictable manner.
NEVER use arm cannon up close. Just glide to a safe distance and try and shoot Sonic.EXE while you're far away. Tails is a zoner who plays defensively, so he can be deemed annoying and usually gets targetted, but don't let that stop you from continuing to be annoying. You're maining one of the worst characters in the game and they'll have to deal with it.
A few other helpful teammates:
- Eggman will usually use their movement options as an escape tool, so it's easier to aim while Sonic.EXE runs back towards them. Same applies to Cream's speed boost, Sally's roll, and Rouge's slide.
- Knuckles mains typically like to combo their block into their punch, but if the punch is on cooldown, you can combo the block into the arm cannon instead.
- Amy's hammer bounce makes distance and Tails can get an easy snipe while the chase is prolonged.
The only character that doesn't have a lot of chem with Tails is Shadow. Usually because he's being ignored while hiding accross the map where Tails can't even aim.
You may be deemed as annoying and cringe for maining Tails, but hey, you're the one who decided to main the second worst character in the game, and if they're going to complain about a low tier, the joke is on them. If you get targetted after your first shot, just play along and keep sniping them. They'll give up eventually.
Who is the worst to main? Rouge? I am a former Rouge main and now a Shadow main, just sayin, also, if your gonna play Rouge or main her, play smart, use your trackers to the best of your ability, spread them across the map, that will let your teammates let you know where Sonic and his minions are, yes if you die, the tracker will pick you up if your a minion, now for the slide, after you slide, just jump to the side, and just try your best to juke them.
Bro most of sonic's ladders completely invalidate most shortcuts people can take, especially hammer bounce shortcuts.

I saw the disclaimer it might not help on mob or controller and I am a tails main and it worked a bit for mob and I watched it again and it worked!!! Tysm ducky!!

Tails' arm cannon is getting a boost in 1.2
Even though I'm on PS5 at the beginning of the video when there was a disclaimer saying it might not help with mobile or console I'm just going to say this thanks for the guide it will help a lot for me thanks a lot ducky
some of these tips i already knew but some arent so nice guide video!
It must be way easier to shoot with tails on pc since you Just need to point and click. unlike mobile where It's Very annoying to aim and hit the shot Especially when Sonic is in Constant movement

Lazer not being synced with mouse sounds like complete a@@ to be honest never knew that and that's why all tails mains think they have bad aim.
no it wasnt synced because of recording so it should be synced when playing
This still dosent help those tails mains who miss the exe that stands still
the part where it says to stay calm should help a lot more with that to not miss because they were rushing
