Great interview. Dr. Geortzel and Jeff Hawkings are my favorite AI guys. I utilize their AI methods in my artificial intelligence software for financial trading and data aggregation. My software is called Poseidon Alpha.
Dude I love you videos, and they are so important but you really need to get better audio equipment, I'm not a native English speaker and when the audio is bad I often find I stop listening automatic half way in the video.
Morten Haulik Kristensen yeah - I was overseas and did not have my good microphone with me. I had to filter out annoying background noise too. Can you be more specific as to what annoys you in the audio so when I have to fix audio issues in the future I have some feedback to go by. Could the audio do with more bass?
+Adam Ford I think it has more do do with the acoustics of the room. Since you have the microphone placed far away, there is a ton of reverb. If you had a shirt mounted mic, or ones placed close to the mouth of each speaker, perhaps it would matter less what type of room you're in. Your videos are great though. You ask relevant questions and let the guy rattle on, using his best judgement about what details are relevant (and details are ever so in important in these matters, since we're speculating about high level stuff based on our (often limited) understanding of low level stuff). Keep it up!
If we could implement at a software level, a brain functionality (all the events, the aprox 10^11 neurons and synapses firing up as in a normal brain) and mock the audio/visual and other kinds of inputs (those coming through the spinal cord from guts, legs, hands, etc), would there emerge a pattern similar to the consciousness one (if there is one we know of :) )?
I'm not really a audiophile so I can't really say, maybe you could find some kind of audio subreddit, post one of your videos with your original audio setup and ask for advice :)
Adam is there are better communication website available other than Facebook, Google Plus and TH-cam? I've been looking around to find a more secure, a kinder and a more intellectual website to talk to people. I had to turn Facebook off all together. I am so finished with it now because of the hate and violence that is going on and the haters. I am highly sensitive and need a much safer place.
I have been wanting to create a conversation website, I have lots of ideas for it. I want it to be a website without bullies. I want people to be able to paint something for each other. Pictures speak more than words. With a really great paint program in it. But to create a website like that costs money and I don't have any. I don't even know were to start with that but I hang on to the idea. Maybe I will figure it out some day. I am trying to get friends together to make that happen. If you are interested in this let me know and we can talk about it here or through email. It would be Amazing to create a bully free communication website.

But what I envision is a website that contains the best of all websites without the messiness of bullies, trolls, spam, scams and commercials. Facebook is gross and they do nothing to stop sexual harassment for example. I get dick photos sent to me which brings up my childhood pain. Some people are sensitive like myself and we can not stand such things and all this crudeness. Many girls have committed suicide and some boys, too because of the psychopaths. I want a website where such things are immediately erased and the people blocked. I want AI systems to work as guards to prevent this harassment from happening. I have done a lot of lectures on complexity science and emergence related to economics. Back in 2012.
