How can any Jet fan not like what they saw from Davante and Rodgers? Not too many teams can say they have Davante or Garrett Wilson as their number 2 WR!.. I say hire Vrabel/Rex as new HC, draft the best available DL there is in the draft with the 1st pick we have, and draft a QB in round 2 to develop. Id rather have a 2nd rd pick QB learning behind rodgers, then a 1st rd QB thrown into the fire from day 1. Even the great Trevor Lawrence couldn't get it going as the #1 overall pick... With Jermiane returning, the new 1st round pick DL, and possible a new saftey in rd 3... i think we would be in good shape, along with a new HC and OC... Thouhgts?
We not getting a top qb let build it seems Rodgers and Adam finally find their grooves let go into next season with momentum like the Lions did 2 years ago
Unless the plan is to drop back in the draft to acquire more picks i dont really cate about draft order. So many time high draft picks dont work out. In fact if we pick 7th or 8th id still trade down. We need lots of players not a potential super star who might not even pan out. Much more enjoyable to get a win and start building belief amongst the players who will still be on the team next year. I want the Jets to win all their remaining games and start building belief amongst themselves.
Was a pretty good game. Is it just me or does Macaroni Jones look better now that he is out of New England? Let's see how Jets finish the season and who will be the new regime.
Watched the highlights and I have to tell you, I was scared every time Aaron took off running. 😀 But he did well and had good connections with both Davante and Garret Wilson. It was a good game between two unsuccessful teams. That's life in the NFL though, sometimes teams are not doing well. And ownership decisions have really submarined the team's chances this year. Don't fire your effing head coach week five unless you're TRYING to get the number one pick in the next draft. That's the only reason to fire even the worst coach so early in the season. The defense isn't playing very well. But they don't have the DC they started with since he was breveted to HC, and though he's still with the team he's not in a position to focus on the defense which means they're going to play worse. Granted, and that's back on ownership making stupid decisions to apparently try to tank the season to get that number one pick. The Jets would do better with a mid round pick, no higher than 7 or 8, and preferably no higher than 12. The team is not one player away from a Super Bowl. They're not even one player away from a playoff run. If they get a top ten pick they need to trade back and acquire more picks because they have many needs at many places. Don't grab a freaking QB, Woody. Don't EVER take a first round QB higher than pick 24 ever again! Let the elder statesmen of the QB room, Rodgers and Taylor, run the team while your potential fifth round steal, Jordan Travis, finishes healing and gets to where he can display what he can do. He has potential above his draft pick and the team should look at solidifying the trenches with good to great linemen with excellent cohesion with their picks instead of getting another QB to ruin and make a middling success elsewhere (Hey! Look! Sam Darnold and the Vikings are 12-2! Boy, too bad he was all but destroyed by the team that drafted him with the third pick of the first round. Glad he's been able to find success on a well run team tho). I will constantly give the Jets sh!te about what happened with Sam, yes, but that's meant to slam the idiot owner and not the long-suffering fans who I have nothing but sympathy for, even as a lifelong Dolphins fan. Ownership seems to continue pressing for immediate returns and splashy acquisitions without giving the team a foundation to build upon. The line is that foundation for the offense absolutely. A good and solid line can make journeymen into heroes. Not trying to salt the wound, but once again just look at Darnold in Minnesota for proof of that. He's no superstar and he's still got flaws and rough spots that need work, but he's able to succeed because his line is good. I will say that the Jets line looked better in this Jaguars game, and that may be because of the opposition, but every good game can build some confidence and cohesion. If fingers don't need to be pointed after the game everyone tends to work better together. So I'm perhaps a bit hopeful that this win will help improve cohesion. I don't know that a game against a pretty good Rams team will help that, but it might. There's always the chance that the Jets could surprise the Rams like they did the Texans, which might help build that cohesion further. One can hope. There are only three games left, and two of the three are with potential or guaranteed playoff teams. The other is against the Dolphins, who are as unpredictable as ever for whether they'll be decent or wounded ducks. Yes, this is my team. Sigh. I hope the Jets can win two of the three to put themselves out of the top ten picks for the draft so they won't be pressed by Doody (not a misspelling, just a juvenile word play to indicate my opinion of him as an owner) Johnson to make another splashy pick instead of a solid pick. Trade back, acquire picks, draft team players with interlocking skill sets to build the best foundation and then build wisely on that for the future. If that is done there's a chance that the Jets can be in a position to consistently challenge for a playoff spot by the time I turn 60 (and I'm 56 now, so I'm actually being serious and not a twentysomething being a jackwagon), if they manage the team well. But to do so Woody will need to get a good GM and then SHUT UP AND LET HIM DO HIS JOB. And obviously get a good coach too, and there are options as you've done a great job covering. And not gonna lie, getting Jets Legend Aaron Glenn as HC seems like it should be fated to happen, but I'd ideally like to see him come in after two more years getting even better as a DC under Campbell in Detroit, perhaps following a two year rebuilding job by Rex Ryan before Ryan moves into the front offices. 😛 Come on, doesn't that sound like a great idea for the Jets faithful? And, to again restate my opinion of why the Jets should be drafting outside of the top ten picks, I'll point out that, unless my memory fails me, Aaron Glenn was drafted by the Jets with the 12th pick of the first round. 😛 As always, great work JC, keep it up! If you can make a Dolphins fan invested in the Jets future like I am, you must be doing something right. 😀
I understand draft pick but the jets need a discipline minded coach. The back up is ok and can manage a game. Go back to the year before they got parcell. 1 AND 15 but with a core of good players. Right now i feel we are in that same boat. 50 plus years of being a die-hard fan. I know my jets and i will die with them .
I'll take the win. Always feels good to get a win. People can be upset because it "ruins" our draft spot. A reminder that Patrick Mahomes, Aaron Donald, Darrelle Revis, JJ Watt, TJ Watt, Tom Brady, Jerry Rice, Randy Moss, Fred Warner, they all weren't top 5 picks. There's gems everywhere in the draft. It doesn't matter where you pick. The draft is a guessing game. As long as you make the right pick, it doesn't matter where you pick. I'll take this win. I'm happy. What a game. Yeah it was close but the reality is the Jets are a bad team and/or a poorly coached team. That's the reality. I knew it was going to be closer than we would like. But a win's a win. Go Jets.
The lack of time management at the end does make me wonder whether you're right with your initial assessment. Maybe we are just turning up without a game plan. I, for one, am really looking forward to the new GM and HC, and see what we can build on the last few games into the off season. As for draft order, I'm not fussed. We've had top 10 pick how many times in the last decade or so and we're still where we are - nowhere. Let's build a winning culture. Tanking isn't the answer.
Jets need a qb for the future, if they can't get Carr or Lawrence, can they trade for the #1 dp? Or is Jacksonville(if they're drafting#1) be in the same boat?
It takes an athlete in their 20's 2 years to recover from that injury. This is because tendons get very little blood flow, and the Achilles is a very thick tendon to make things more complicated. This leads to muscle imbalances because the body is trying to protect the healing tendon by hijacking the neural connections to the areas around the Achilles. It can lead to loss of coordination and other injuries as the body is compensating. So, with all that being said, Athletes never look like themselves for at least a year or 2 after Achilles tears. -Sports med degree, former physical therapist
Of course the Jets would win when they probably shouldn't have due to draft order. Only the Jets.. . But even if the Jets did have a top 3 pick they would mess it up anways so it doesn't matter either way.
For me I am happy we won today. We won't any more Games, and with a 4-13 Record we are picking Top 6 I think. If you have a Competent GM, he has to Pick successfully from every Position. The Texans one the last Game of the Season and fell to No.2. They have Stroud and the Panthers Young. Which one is better now? You never know what happens and I don't live in hypotheticals as a Fan. I want to see my Team win..otherwise I don't need to be a Fan anymore. Just my Opinion. But I hope, that not one Coach is with us next Season. They ALL have to go..down to the QC Coach.
There was nothing to gain from this game except pride but at the end of the day no matter if we win or lose I don’t think Sanders and Ward makes it past the Raiders and Giants and in my opinion unless they feel strongly of Quinn Ewers I believe the pick should be Mason Graham next to Big Q. Either run it back one more time with Rodgers or give the reign to Jordan Travis but we don’t know the status of his leg, just that it’s a setback. Only time will tell unless they plan on just flat out going all in on Manning which trust and believe they won’t be the only ones if that’s the case😂

We're lucky the Jets were playing the Jaguars today. Otherwise, the coaching staff would have lost another game for us.
A Meaningless win
This team can't even tank right smh
Unless the plan is to drop back in the draft to acquire more picks i dont really cate about draft order. So many time high draft picks dont work out. In fact if we pick 7th or 8th id still trade down. We need lots of players not a potential super star who might not even pan out. Much more enjoyable to get a win and start building belief amongst the players who will still be on the team next year. I want the Jets to win all their remaining games and start building belief amongst themselves.
Won but Sheffield 🗑️
Was a pretty good game. Is it just me or does Macaroni Jones look better now that he is out of New England? Let's see how Jets finish the season and who will be the new regime.
2023: with this defense we would be playoff contenders with competent QB play.
2024: defense gives up 25 pts to a Mac Jones led Jags team.
Man that defense from 2021-2023 was excellent and we wasted that D
What is Rodgers using up 2 timeouts because the Jets can't snap the ball in time.
he was extremely good, way to nitpick some bs
It’s happened a million times this season
As always, great work JC, keep it up! If you can make a Dolphins fan invested in the Jets future like I am, you must be doing something right. 😀
The sad thing is this team with Mike Tomlin as HC would have been 10-4 easily = Ulbrich is so bad that jets could have won more without having a HC
Go Jets.
The Jets did everything they could to blow the game, but Jacksonville wouldn't let them. On to L.A. Rams
Oh now they want to start winning.....when it does not make a difference
Rodgers doing everything possible to sabotage the NYJ. But what he didn't realize is NYJ are the Master. Show Nuff! 😅😂
rodgers and adams will be back next season, hes on pace for 30 td’s 8 ints and over 4000 yards, impressive stats
rodgers looks great
The lack of time management at the end does make me wonder whether you're right with your initial assessment.
Nice win, I guess. But when 41-year-old QB Aaron Rodgers is your leading rusher, you have a problem.
Hollin Pierce, Rutgers.
Drew Allar, if hes on the board the jets need to be the pick. Do some research on him abd make a video please.
The jets need a high draft pick to pick up a good young QB prospect. Winning ain't gonna get that done.
Rodger's looked spry and healthy. Maybe it took him a while to recover fully from Achilles injury? Get Rex, third times the CHARM!

He was clearly hurt early in the year and it showed. He was like a statue in the pocket not following through any of his throws.
I’ve never understood rooting to lose. That’s the type of stuff that makes people look at jets as losers quite literally
Defense needs a rebuild
NY teams in general, can't get it up when needed.
We need D line bad... an if travis hunter is there you have to take him
HELL NO!!!!!!!
We should have tanked but Aaron was great!
Rookie head coach.
OMFG WHY DAMN
No on graham best offensive player we have the pass rushers we just need a DT to stuff the run I don’t trust a rookie to do that
TANK BOWL...
You've been watching some Tree, eh?
Good, I don't need you guys interfering with our tank, go draft an OL or something
🏴☠️☠️
Leave it to Rodgers to be a spoiler in the tank... 😮
nobody is tanking
Of course the Jets would win when they probably shouldn't have due to draft order. Only the Jets.. . But even if the Jets did have a top 3 pick they would mess it up anways so it doesn't matter either way.
The big test is the 3 next games lets see how Rodgers look against the I real team .32 in Defense that's what Jacksonville is
rodgers has 10 td’s 1 int last 5 games with a 96.6 passer rating, hes healthy and looks legit
@mikedelape6609 we will see what Rodgers does in this next game
Uncool to leave Denver off your list of good teams
What i hope for is Rodgers continues to play well so the jets may perhaps be able to trade him.
Me too, on a team with a real football culture that guy could do a lot still. He still throws the ball at an elite level, even on one good leg at 41.
no hes most likely returning with adams, if he played well these last 4 games he would return what was reported and he is
The Jets could finish 4-13 and get the 8th pick in the draft. Is this the most Jets season in Jets history?
Can the coaching be anymore clueless? The defense could barely hold down the lowly jags with a practice squad roster.
