One of them engages in close combat while the other fights from a distance. They work together, alternating between the two tactics. After roaring in place, they will continue with close combat for a period of time. Just as I imagined it would be. The demon in pain is even more powerful. In the dark and grim world view of Soul series games, beings on the brink of death are always the strongest. Characters who are powerful or at their peak strength have usually already died before the game begins.
iirc it’s the Bed of Chaos from 1 but in a new form. It’s still the og Chaos Flame at the end if it’s life. So technically we are fighting a Lord Soul level being… just at the end of its days. As opposed to Gael shortly after whose a Lord Soul holder at their peak.
Considering that the laser demon prince was able to put up a good fight against Malenia all by itself, I'd be curious to see how it fares on its own against the other Elden Ring bosses.
I'm gonna be honest, I'm actually really looking forward to both the Halflight and Champions Gravetender fights. Just because the fights are going to look the most "normal" out of all the fights simply because they're the only player sized bosses that follow player/NPC rules that come with being the size of a player.
I'm also waiting for these fights, they may not be the strongest, but it would be interesting to see. And I like them too, but I'm waiting for the ds2 bosses like the mirror knight, the lost sinner, sir alonne, throne watcher e throne defender, fume knight e vestald It may not be the most interesting Souls (I still don't understand why a rat or skeleton boss) but the visuals and lore are very good
Thanks for doing my suggestion I knew the demon prince will do well but god that was a slaughter The demon prince probably has the second largest health pool (the three bars combine) in dark souls 3 and it really shows here
He’s got 21k overall iirc, only beaten by Yhorm. Prince though takes half damage from all attacks at best so that final 7000 health is extra tanky. Might be wrong but before Elden Ring I think only a handful of bosses had more hp, like Yhorm and endgame Chalice Dungeon stuff in Bloodborne.
@@raydark100 Every boss in video has the the highest scaling in the game that means every boss has had some kind of buff to it's health and damage (except malenia because she already in the highest scaling) Ofcourse early game bosses will get a higher buff compare to late game bosses For example godrick had around 25k hp compare to his original 6k hp and Rykard had 135k compare his original 90k hp that's means 45k increase One the other hand the demon prince health increased from 7k to 10k hp that means 9k for the three health It's not like the elden ring bosses didn't get buff
Now all we need is Sister Friede with all 3 phases. Not sure if any boss will be able to beat her (except for Malenia obviously) due to frostbite being so broken in this game. @@chaossilvermoon Yeah, giving them scarlet rot on top of everything else would have been overkill. @@ros243 Because this is indeed the case on the system. Toxic is rot. Just like the dark attribute of DS is the holy attribute of ER. They just changed the name. There are no changes to the system.
AH, this is so cool! The demons in Dark Souls 1 and 3 always piqued my interest, and the Demon in Pain/Demon from Below/Demon Prince always looked the coolest to me. Demon in Pain's scalp having melted off it's head and over it's face is a bizarre detail for Fromsoft to include, that's probably difficult to appreciate in the heat of battle. I'm glad you gave the different Demon Princes silly names to distinguish them. Genuinely very useful. Also, thank you for redoing the Godfrey/Hoarah Loux fight, but still showing the first one. My only complaint is that I wish certain fights went on longer! I know the Demons have already been balanced to the bosses using area scaling, but bosses like Morgott, the Omen King and Godrick the Grafted died way too quick to appreciate their fights! (I know Godrick is weak, but I still like seeing him in fights. I wouldn't mind seeing him with twice as much health and no other change, as long as you mention somewhere in the video or comments that you did that.) The Astel fight felt like a joke, and I was kind of looking forward to that one (because I like the idea of a big space monster fighting demons, it's cool). On the other hand, the Elden Beast fight was perfect.
Godfrey's battle is invalid, due to the grab attack it bugged the demon prince's transformation and made him remain at 0 HP even though he was transforming, it is clear that that battle was lost by Godfrey
Someone in the comments said the demon prince couldn’t complete his transformation during the grab, so he was left with no health after Hoarah Loux completed his attack.
It is the ancient dragon that blocked the road at Crumbling Farum Azula. He is the strongest ancient dragon. The official annotation given to him by the game is called Naginata
To me they seem to take similar damage from fast and normally weaker attacks and slow and normally stronger attacks. Also not sure what to think of the poise damage. But still nice video.
Again with that equal area scaling when the ds3 bosses are also allowed to keep their poise dmg...And I thought you had solved the issue of maliketh's debuff healing opponents in the previous videos.
Imo Demon prince OST needed more bass drums and less cymbals, but that intro choir always drove home the "Oh shit" factor Great to see these guys in Elden Ring
Idk why the laser beam doing so little damage here. I hits harder than the fire ball version but the fire ball version is harder to dodge. Kitted up with Ember and 2k health…charge laser shot will almost 1 tap still. The amount of people fighting it that gets melted from it is insane. I feel its damage isn’t recognized here. 900 is to low considering the regular fire attack he throws does like 450…I only died once against this boss when both did the double attack but he did hit me with a laser sweep later and that almost killed me (1600 health) so I know the charged laser shot would’ve.
Okay WTF why are they so broken? That toxic mist deleted placidusax and fire giant instantly, they did better job in this than midir, same as demon of hatred, only losing to malenia, guess the lands between isn't equiped to fight demons
I mean It's not like he was weak in dark souls 3 it's just the fact he is put alot of the time against yhorm and midir which are immune to toxic and very resistant to fire damage or out right immune to it the demon prince have the second largest health pool in ds3 with a second phase that have double defences and he have three separate health bars making abilities like distant death and one shot attacks less effective against him not to mention toxic which alot of elden ring bosses are susceptible to it They are probably the fourth strongest boss in ds3 the thing is the big three in ds3 bully the demon prince so often to the point people seem to underestimate him
I still can't understand how the lorian killed these two in solo combat, because we didn't encounter these demons in their prime. Imagine fighting the lorian at his maximum, with him being able to walk and fight faster, he would be a boss at the level of the gael or friede.
The videos are nice but just one thing. I think you waste entirely too much time in the beginning of your videos showcasing the combatants. It doesn't take half as long as you take for us to get a good look at the combatants. I take it back. The latest videos you've done wasn't very nice. The bosses you are pitting the elden ring bosses against have extra health bars and unfortunately you're not doing a good job of compensating for it. You need to increase the elden ring bosses health so they can compete otherwise it's not worth watching.
