Yeah. Its an absolute classic. There is a reason why Sadako is one of the most identifiable horror icons along with Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger.
Next level video. I always appreciate translator putting in notes explaining stuff that non-JP people cannot understand, remind me of good old anime fansub days Amazing work, thank you!
Thank you for your continued quality productions Peko Mains. Hats off to you. The explanations for Japanese puns and cultural tidbits are a very nice touch for added context. As for Ringu itself, it never really occurred to me, but it's actually kind of hilarious how the movie ends. (spoilers) The whole investigation and the "exorcism" just turn out to be useless and all you gotta do is pass the curse on instead. I love that feeling of futility. Sadako don't give a damn about her soggy bones, just make a copy and pass it on.
since nobody else has mentioned it, the dragonball sound effect at 40:01 absolutely DESTROYED me. All the suspense in the world can be broken like that lmfao
Incredible work, thanks a lot for all the effort! When I saw the clips for this stream I thought they were watching the western one, turns out that one was a remake of this one. The more you know~
If Peko Mains has a million fans, then I am one of them. If Peko Mains has ten fans, then I am one of them. If Peko Mains has only one fan then that is me. If Peko Mains has no fans, then that means I am no longer on earth. If the world is against Peko Mains, then I am against the world.
That intro is masterpiece lol. YAGOO best girl! 24:46 Takakura Ken's quote let's goooo!! Momo would be happy xD The amound of puns when Lui and Korone are together is just too high. INAFF!! Also that Eatingmiketysonas cameo 🤣
Korone idea is very interesting, so if 1 friend has watched it, continue to copy it, give the next friend and that friend copy it again, the next friend and come back to us again, just keep in the loop, I think we can definitely survive
If you want to Sanada-san in a great action movie showing of his Japan Action Club training, I recommend the late Corey Yuen's Ninja in the Dragon's Den. Kung-fu vs Ninjas it's fun.
I did not see the Japan version of The Ring, I only saw the American version. It was pretty scary. The line, "She never sleeps," still sticks with me and can give me goosebumps. I understand the Japan version is more scary. Good luck, dog and bird.
i have found memories of watching the American version of The Ring in theaters because somehow i got free tickets. personally i think the American version is actually scarier but the Japanese version is probably the better over all movie. it’s just that the American version is more pure horror movie and the original JP is actually more of a mystery movie with some horror elements and back when i originally watched it years ago i wasn’t expecting that so i honestly found it kinda boring. i wonder which i would like more if i watched them both now, so many years later 🤔
Wake up Onii-chan , new Peko Mains vid dropped! 😍
whoever put this together, YOU ARE THE GOAT. Explaining JP pop culture references and puns? holy hell ty
New to Pekomains, I see. Definitely check out more of their stuff!
@@yeshevishmanPeko Mains/Dubs is absolutely goated.
3:08
*one minute of dialogue exists*
Korone: "Stop yapping"
Just realized the male actor is the guy from Shogun.
8:39 I'm sorry but this is one of the cutest little clips I've ever heard. Absolutely precious.
Man, I love the original Ringu movie. Thanks so much for translating and editing this!
Yeah. Its an absolute classic. There is a reason why Sadako is one of the most identifiable horror icons along with Jason Vorhees, Michael Myers and Freddy Krueger.
lmao the miko ghostbusters reference, thank you as always!
Thanks so much for the effort of translating all of this! What a gift! The Snoopy part was too cute!
This makes me wants to watch the movie again. Thanks for the translations and editing!
I remembered watching this in 2006- or 2007 I was 14-15. Watched this at night at 8:30pm by myself I couldn't sleep for 4yrs bc how terrified I was😂
Hard to believe that the Ring storyline devolves into a mix of occult and futuristic cyber virus.
Next level video. I always appreciate translator putting in notes explaining stuff that non-JP people cannot understand, remind me of good old anime fansub days
Amazing work, thank you!
Lol how have I not gone out of my way to look up Ken Takakura yet at this point. Timely reference. Good work with the translation and many thanks 👍
Lui-nee scared and Korone smiling face the entire time. Also Nanako actress is very pretty.
Thank you Pekosub!

Thanks for the spooky watchalong Pekomains!
pekomains my GOAT!
Never thought I'd saw Hiroyuki Sanada in the original Ring 😅 anyway nice watchalong video Mains 😁👍
23:17 I've cracked it!
Clearly he is a fan of Shirokami Fubuki. The actual translation is: "We are Japanese goblin"
I just realized Korone either doesn't have a scared toggle for the Live 2D, or she doesn't know how to use it, because she was smiling the whole time
Incredible work, thanks a lot for all the effort! When I saw the clips for this stream I thought they were watching the western one, turns out that one was a remake of this one. The more you know~
24:39 I'd call Takakura Ken more of a John Wayne than Clint Eastwood, but the important thing is, they're cultured.
Wow, the actor who plays Ryuji Takayama is the one who plays Toranaga in Shogun! He looks so young here!
He’s on the list of THE cool looking Asian guys you call when you need one
@@riastradhLol right.
16:50
10/10 audio editing, so immersive
THANK YOU FOR THISS!! Never really watched this movie so viewing it for the first time with them is way more entertaining thank again!
tbh i keep getting spooked by that headless koronesuki lol
Thank you for your hardwork!!!!
Thank you Peko Mains!!
Thanks to Dan Da Dan, I already know who Ken Takakura was!

When a new vid pops before i go to bed … I can stay up for another 50 mins.
I love when they do watch alongs It's like their version of MST3K
I get so happy when I see you upload a video. I instantly know it will be a great time and thank you for all the effort you put into these!
the legend returns
Man, the only thing that could have made that scarier would be some soap
Takakura Ken mentioned, what the fuck is a banana
Pekonmains been dropping a lot recently. Been cooking a bunch, i see.
2:46rip to her she was❤cutey too
That intro is masterpiece lol. YAGOO best girl!

Yessss!!! 👍
thank you!
24:25 now I know Ken Takakura reference from Dandadan
Wowowow nice edits :O
I remember watching this after American version because everyone hyped it up as way scarier, and I mean everyone.
I felt bad I didn’t like it .
does it work if i copy and show to my pet cockroach ?
