I was very surprised by this movie, im upset with myself that I didnt check it out sooner. Its so visually strong, rintaro has some great direction, and so colorful as well. Definitely going to be checking out more of his work!

He was, I don't think Otomo was serious during this interview when giving the reason of Rock's name. It sounds more like a joke to me.

@@justanoldsnufkin9747 He has the same look, name, tropes, backstory, temper and characteristics as the manga one. He obviously is the same, just used in another story. Now, as in the mangas he can change name (Rokuro Makube, Rock Holmes, Akudo Nikula...), Otomo might just have said that he kept the name Rock because he liked the sound of it, and didn't choose another one.
