I’m glad I watched this before ordering. I already have Heat Shield for all windows and don’t use the suction cups as they fit well enough with friction. I wanted to replace them for more stealthy look from outside vs shiny silver. These do that except the large magnets on the front and rear. I would still consider ordering a set of just the side windows as being able to open & close the doors without reattaching would be really nice, but not interested in the front and rear until an interior mounting solution is available. I am not necessarily worried about someone stealing the magnets, but I don’t like the idea that anyone could walk up, remove the magnets, and now see inside the vehicle.
2 small ideas for improvement from someone who sleeps 3 months a year in his Tesla: 1) A solution without magnets for the windshield/rear window would be great. I see the idiots coming who just pull the magnets on the outside and then can look inside again. 2) I already tinted the rear windows like many others, so a reduced set with only windscreen and front windows would be great.
Noted! We will take your feedback into consideration. About the back window, that is not possible, there is not any other way to do this, unless you wanna do suction cups, but then, no movie theatre, and suction cups also fall down, a lot, it is inferior design. I do not think there are many crazy people that will pull the magnets off, rare case of 0.1 % of camp nights or less.
Magnets on the outside??? This is a horrible idea. I own a dream case and use to sleep in my tesla alot, anything in the outside would draw attention. I had a much better simution i made on my own. (Nirmal window shades with a black sheet stiched to the window facing area, so it wasnt ibvious the window was blocked)
Well I just ordered but wow I didn't realize it had magnets on the outside! Smart but bizarre. Sure, there's a lot of places we end up sleeping that aren't in the middle of the Woods. I did not realize that doesn't have a cover for the top window either so I'll order that separately from somewhere else. The problem with these magnets is they do draw attention to the car which is what you don't want.
Was really excited to buy this, until I noticed two things: 1. Magnets. No thanks. This has to be a solution which can't be interfered with from the outside 2. We need a solution for the roof. I want to sleep in darkness Fix these two and I'll order immediately!
I wish you made shades to cover the roof too, it's really nice to get total blackout for sleep. I'll probably stick with my evanex sun shades for now, but I love my dreamcase!
Right, I thought it was cool until I realized nothing for the roof. All humans get better sleep in complete darkness and it is very unlikely you will ever find complete darkness to park in.
Exactly. I would expect to get on average 7 restful nights in America before at least one of the magnets gets stolen and/or one of the flaps for the side windows cut. Give or take depending on where exactly you're parking to sleep.

I had a topper on my van years ago with straps that went through a window or door. You know what happened when it rained? Yup, it leaked water in my van. Nice try though.
Insulation works both ways, if you insulate the interior you also maintain the coldness from the climate control. The difference with or without WindowBlinds in any weather is huge. In hot weather it is near to impossible to keep the car really cold, as the constant sun light makes it so that AirCon run on level 10 is necessary to keep it remotely comfortable, but with the blinds on you can run AirCon on 2-5 and it will become cold.
@@wavesnowaves On model 3 WindowBlinds cover the back window up until the tinted roof. The set consists of: Front window Blind that also becomes the storage bag, Back Window, 2 x Side door Front, 2 x Side Door back, 2 x Tiny Side Window Back & back window iPad holder for Theatre Mode.
@@DreamCase Thanks! One last question. Can the front window blind stay in place at all without using the magnets ? Ideally, if I'm using it just for some heat protection while I'm away from the car (beach, shopping etc) and in a very public/crowded place, it would be nice to not have the magnets on the outside. Could the sun visors in the car perhaps hold it in place? Perhaps not perfectly, but at least to block out some light..
@@wavesnowaves Yes, the sun visor will hold them in place and make it almost as fitted as with the magnets, on the Front Window. The sides are also really fast to setup, like one min for all 4 windows. That would make a huge difference to prevent the car from becoming super hot, with AirCon on fan speed 1-2 will keep it cool. This would save keeping fan speed at 8-10 just to make it bearable enough to be in the car, spending considerable amounts of power.
Magnet outside is completely a bad design. You can't close the window completely, cold wind will get in. Also criminal can force the window open if you leave a gap. Definitely not for me
