Nice. I have a video somewhere on my old DV camera that I shot at Colgate Road when the crossing was still there.

Love the colors of the WS engines and the sounds of the bells. I thought that initial vehicle was going to run the crossing after the signals were activated since it took some time for the train to pass over the road. Probably your longest train video yet. NEVER have seen so many military vehicles in any of your videos. I not only enjoy seeing your videos but also the colorful "artistry" on many of the cars like in this video. The one at 4:02 was especially creative. Not sure if those LOUD bangs were a track issue or not and that guy with the dog really timed it right by getting to the crossing near the end of the train to make the wait very brief. Thanks for sharing and Happy Easter from New Mexico, Brenton!

The loud banging is the slack going in and out. They have to take it slow through here because they're going through a switch to get off the Canadian National tracks and onto their own rails. Then they get a warrant to head towards Janesville and begin to pick up speed as they move through town and the rear of their train clears the switch. The military vehicles are not an uncommon sight. I actually have another video with them on the rear of the train, at a town further down this same line. They're manufactured at Oshkosh Trucking (in Oshkosh, of course) and loaded onto the flat cars that are parked at the very end of Wisconsin & Southern's Oshkosh Subdivision, on the west side of Interstate 41. Some of these came down a few weeks ago and went to Janesville, where they were handed off to the Union Pacific. Sometimes they'll go to Madison and then west, out to Prairie du Chien, where they'll be handed off to the Burlington Northern Santa Fe. It kind of depends on where their final destination is.

@@Brenton81 Thanks for explaining about the loud banging. I was thinking that it was either a track issue or something else like what you explained. Now I know why the train was going so slowly with the switch in the area. Also interesting to read about the military vehicles and I may have missed that other video with them.

Yeah, I upload them into my queue so they drop on Saturdays at noon. They aren't always recent or in the order I shot them. Like right now, I have the next five weeks worth of videos scheduled already. So the ones that drop on May 6th and May 13th were both actually shot on April 8th.
