I don't know if it makes a difference or not. But I have a tabular core support so I got one. I can say for sure that their powder coating on my 4 or 5 parts is the best Ive seen. Its absolutely spotless.
Just installed on my 1987 Buick Grand National with a stock intercooler. This installed just fine. The bar doesn’t even block the airflow into the intercooler scoop. It’s a perfect fit. I don’t know why UMI says is won’t work with a GN.
Looks like a nice product. would be nice to see a body off chassis demonstration of the stock frame flex and then with the braces installed. Can you make that happen???
G-bodies NEED UMI PRODUCTS!!! I installed a few UMI products on my ‘84 4 door Buick Regal and the sway bars made a night and day difference for body roll...So the my brother ordered sway bars for his ‘83 Cutlass lol
We've had some Camino guys be able to fit it and some not. It's a tight install. So it fits, but may require some hot rodding, clearancing, grinding etc.
@@umiperformance To whomever liked my comment, I was basically asking do you need the sway bars and that bracing. I thought it was a sway bar and brace all in one. I see that they are separate. Bigger sway bars, that brace, and under hood bracing will have my G-Body like a C8 Corvette.
This brace really tightened up the front end on the Car Craft Malibu!!

This is the kinda stuff i really need to look into for my car , you guys look like you got some good products here cheers
I definitely need this for my 1984 Hurst Olds! I will be ordering everything in red!
UMI Performance products are the top of the line when it comes to suspension upgrades.
Dope product. Have you guys though about making one that is front mounted intercooler friendly lol.
I would definitely be the first to buy.

Is this part compatible with my 78 olds cutlass?
is this compatible with g-body elcaminos? also, is this part of any of their kits?

I wonder if these will work with a front mount intercooler piping on a GN
Does anyone know if you still need/use swaybars?
The bracing helps stop chassis flex. That is separate from the body rolling. You'd still need to use sway bars.

Do you guys make any of those nice rear wing soilers the one on the MC FOR THE G BODY CUTLASS ?
We don't, unfortunately. Our in-house designer built it, one-off.
