Yes, it's against NCAA rules. Just like players taking benefits from shoe companies to go to affiliated teams, parents getting paid by schools, under the table payments / gifts, etc. They all still happen though.

Hanlen says it himself in the video. He had a morning session in LA. Took a six hour flight to Philly arriving at 10:30pm for a midnight workout and he does it because he puts clients first. He's not grinding that schedule out of the goodness of his heart. Under the table payments and gifts for top prospects is pretty widely documented. It's an open secret. What's happening is that agents, colleges, and/or shoe companies are paying for these sessions. If/when the player becomes successful, he will pay them back for their early support by signing.
