I had a copy of both games back then. I would have chosen the 360 Spider to showcase the version differences. The reflections are significantly more different on surfaces of the engine windows of that car. I missed the HD version. I would buy Outrun 3 on day one if SEGA and Ferrari (Fiat) could sit down and make a deal one last time.
That would be amazing seeing how much graphical fidelity they were able to get out of the Sega chihiro over a decade ago.
15 anos se passaram e o game continua lindo a frente do seu tempo e isso vale para a versão ps2 também, por sinal é uma bela característica de alguns arcades da Sega Super GT ou Scud Race que o diga
Olá, me fala um pouco desse game e suas diferenças de jogo, ele parece ser bem divertido...
It's a tie IMO. Outrun 2 seems to have better lighting effects in some spots but then 2006 has more going on in some areas, like birds flying by. 2006 also seems to have a slightly faster sense of speed. But then 2 seems a little less jagged in spots with trees.

Vanilla its the arcade perfect, for the Coast 2 Coast they pick the ps2 port and ported it again to Xbox, a non sense movement if know Chihiro Arcade PCB its just a Xbox with more RAM

Me considero uma pessoa de sorte por ter comprado o Cost 2 Cost na Steam quando ainda estava disponível hoje no PC é fácil rodar a 4K com hardware simples, nas versões console ambas do Xbox são excelentes em portátil existe a versão do PSP que tem alguns problemas mas tu pode mitigar jogando com CFW no cartão de memória rodando a CPU a 333Mhz.
My eyes gravitate to the original. Can't put my finger on it but the sense of speed and things going by in your peripheral stand out more.

Looking at the iso files both outrun games are less than 1GB. Outrun 2 is actually larger than 2006. Lack of space wasn’t an issue, they only used about 20% of the DVD.

No, the game had to be Compressed to the DVD format from the GDI format. This version of the game is a port of Outrun 2 Online Arcade. Fun Fact: The PC version is a c&p of this game, but with full res textures (as an graphical option)
DVD’s hold over 4x as much data as GD-ROMs.

Absolutely agree with this statement.
The drifting mechanics in this game are not only satisfying to use, they literally MAKE the game. (And as with most racing games, those mechanics are easy to learn, but hard to master)
The shadow effects around the back of the cars are superior on the original and overall the original appears slightly better.
Given that the SP stages' missing sun effects in C2C can be fixed by moving a file, what are the chances the same can be done for these missing light grading effects?

If they won't or can't renew the car licenses, then remodel the cars slightly so they look - similar to, bjt not quite - like the cars they're supposed to be. GTA & others do it. Why can't SEGA?
Outrun 2 without the official Ferrari licensing isn't an outrun game at all.

You can't really tell in this video, but 2006 has ugly, highly-compressed textures taken straight from the PS2 version. OR2 was graphically superior by a long shot.

@@jimmysmomschannel Outrun 2006. Released at the same time on both platforms. Outrun 2 come out 1st yet has better visuals than it's update. No need to have an argument about it.
@@trueultimagod2465 The visuals are changed bc the versions they are based on also changed the visuals like that. Check the paint reflection on a Chihiro OutRun 2 vs a Chihiro OutRun 2 SP and you'll notice the same difference between 2 and 2006.
The textures aren't the problem, atleast they look close to the same to me during gameplay, theres some issues with some UI Elements but the biggest issue is missing mip-mapping. But that's also a tradeoff in a way, when playing OutRun 2 you can clearly see the distance cutoff from the mipmapping, with 2006 you don't get that but details in the distance become noisy.
Sinceramente, não vejo muita diferença. A versão de 2006 é levemente inferior, mas pouca coisa.
