It mainly for your customers so that they can manage their orders etc. See the docs here woocommerce.com/document/the-my-account-page/ To enable registration on My Account page you need to navigate to WooCommerce → Settings → Account and enable registration on the "My Account" page. Also, be sure that under you have enabled "everyone can register" under Wordpress settings.
So ok, how do you add a custom link that potentially loads content from another page, perhaps even using a shortcode and have that also open within dashboard. Not in another page.
@@wpsimplehacks Well, content from a web page or, a template/global etc. called by a new custom link in the My Account Menu. For example, I have content that is Quiz results from only lessons that I want to show in My Account but so far, I have only been able to open it in a new page rather than just load into the dashboard as the standard Woo content does.
If your quiz plugin allows you to use shortcodes to display results, then you can display them inside the custom my account tab. If it doesn't then it's much harder and I would suggest you to find a developer to see whether it can be done.

However, I am assuming that we can do it without adding CSS code manually. Also if you can add another video for recommended Gutenberg plugins that would be great. Also, I did notice that you were able to add or decrease the padding using the mouse. How was that? Please do let us know Thanks again for the wonderful tutorial.
Hi, In the near fututre I have no plans on making a video on overlapping images. As for the Gutenberg plugins: I use only Kadence Blocks. This one allows me to increase/decrease padding in a way you saw in the video.

Any idea why the woocommerce "My Account" page is missing the navigation sidebar on the left? I have tried recreating my account page and it still loads without the dashboard on the left.

Actually there are two clicks. First on the course name opens up course page. Second click on the lesson name opens up focus mode. It's a standard LD behaviour.

Clear all you caches (browser, server etc) and delete custom CSS related to the My account page. See whether this helps.
