Such beautiful encouragement Ammie! Love when you share these words! There is something beautiful about trusting in God that He has built "your husband" in a way that will provide and protect your family. We as women can not carry all of that, it's just not how God wired us! However, taking on the many, many, tasks and responsibilities of the home is where we flourish and provide a wholesome environment for our children! God knew exactly what He was doing when he created male and female, husband and wife! Keep these encouraging videos coming, I love the reminders!
I enjoyed this video! Watching you sit barefoot on the porch reading to your children was sad to me. I used to do that with my children when they were little. One is now an adult and the other isn’t far behind. I miss those days. Enjoy them and soak it up. Although it’s also fun when they are older too, just different. You did well with what you told the young lady. My oldest child tells people that she wants to be a mama by the time she’s twenty- two and she said people criticize her for that and tell her that she will lose everything. She isn’t engaged or anything but God has given her that desire and I have hope that it will come to pass one day. She just has to wait on the Lord. Homemaking is a blessing. I never had a career. I only got an AA but felt no desire to go further in my education and I’m happy I didn’t. I never felt like I had to work because I didn’t have student loans. I’ve always been a homemaker since having my children. I do work but it’s with my hubby on our farm. It’s a very flexible lifestyle and I wouldn’t trade it. Keep up the good work!!😊
Hi Jamie! Thank you so much for the encouragement on this video! I most definitely am soaking up these moments with my little ones and so grateful to be home and be present for them! And I know the advice you’ve given your daughter on this dream! What a blessing to have your support in her desire to be a homemaker! The world surely sees this much differently today! And my husband and I also have big farm dreams in the works and I’ll be helping him with that too if things progress! The best kind of “work” If you ask me since the entire family can be involved and work together! So lovely to hear from you! Thank you so much for taking the time to comment and share! 💕
My daughter is in this exact situation right now. Mira just turned 1y May 4th. Boy, oh boy, is she feeling the calling. I told her not to ever try to "keep up with the Jonses." That is useless. Watch her debt & get it paid off asap. Hopefully, she can come home soon. ❤
Hi Tracey! I feel for your sweet daughter and remember those days all too well! I pray she can get to come home soon as well! It’s such a hard place for mamas to be when their heart only aches to be with their little ones!
new to your channel. I stayed home with my kids...loved every second of it....but they are grown now. I'm a nurse and I went back to working at the hospital...but now...I want to be back home. I love my patients and I love being a nurse...but I love my husband more. Working on getting a few things paid off and finding medical insurance, since I carry it for us....then I'm out...LOL...I want to be home taking care of the house, the garden, my husband, and my mom who moved in with us because she has parkinson's. Glad I cam across you channel♥
Hi Colleen! Thank you so much for reaching out and leaving this kind comment! I’m so glad you are here! And thank you for sharing your story! How amazing it was that you got to stay home with your kids as they were growing up! I pray you can get back home soon with your husband, mother, and enjoy the homemaking life again! I know you have blessed many patients in your nursing career though!
Such a good video! We are a low income family because I decided to stay home with my two sons. There are many sacrifices and lifestyle changes made for living this lifestyle, but I wouldn’t trade it for the world. God will provide. And he has. Question where did you get the cups for your kid’s smoothies? I need those!
Perfectly said!! The trade offs made and sacrifices are beyond worth it!! Thank you for sharing your story as well! And my kids cups are here! We love them!! amzn.to/4alvMif
