Thanks Andrew. It was an amazing day. The weather has been so good for walking this autumn. Its such a great route too. That little ridge of mountains has some great views toward the interior of the Mournes.

Gary!!!! Its a total nightmare. I mean, I'm considering doing a equipment test video on the best tissues for hiking! Ha ha ha ha. Its so bad, I buy little packs in bulk. Worse now the weather is colder. Thanks for the empathy pal.

Hey Ashley, it really is a great route and the weather definitely helped. I love that descent off Meelmore but not sure I enjoyed the ascent up Bearnagh quite so much lol. Much prefer going up from Trassey.

@@walkwatchers I remember well the descent from Bearnagh being tricky on route to Meelmore but I always enjoy any walk from Trassey - it's the heart of the Mournes! Ashley

What are parking spots like there please? Large enough for a camper?

Hmmmm, it depends how far you want to walk to get to the Mountain and how long you'll be staying. Meelmore Lodge is closest but I wouldn't be sure what motorhome facilities they have. If you want a longer walk you could walk from Donard Park or over the Annalong valley side.
