Manager Kuriyama said, it should be called “Team Darvish” rather than Team Kuriyama.
I think it's also just that the USA hitters have studied his game before, whereas they might be way less used to a pitcher that's still pitching in Japan. Schwarber obviously has his number still from the 2022 NLCS
