They are different. The one hype them in dance practice is Ingyoo - Walk choreographer. The one you talk about is Ill Lee, he is mainly 127 and usually the whole NCT's choreo director. When you mention EXO, I think you mistake Ill Lee with EXO's choreographer Back Kooyoung (or Mihawk Back). Each group of SM has a choreography director and they don't do for other group.
I was also 😮 when I saw Johnny's hair the first time cause I've always seen him with a longer hair lol. But, watching WALK, ahuh, it fits the song and it grew a lot on me.

So they actually have 3 versions of them song as 7/8/9 and in the movement/dance practice is the 7 member version so Haechan is covering Taeil’s parts (+Doyoung at one point) and Jaehyun and Mark cover Taeyong’s part! Also the high notes at the end are both Taeil then Haechan
