감사합니다 선생님 🙂 This lesson has succinctly explained and corrected my understanding of the similarities between the (으)ㄹ 거예요 future conjugation and 겠 conjugation. I was so confused because when I first learned 겠 I understood it only as conjecture, but now that I know that is also holds the same function of “willingness and intent,” it is making the studying of these more formal phrases intuitive and easy. Thank you so much Professor 윤, I have already subscribed and can’t wait to study with all your videos. With your help I have faith I can pass the TOPIK 1 exam, and maybe even a more advanced exam later in the year! 😁

Kayleigh because it's like you're guessing your own feelings, it doesn't make sense

I don't think he said you can't use it. I think he said that it doesn't mean you guess you will go, because you can't guess your own feelings. So when you use the first person it means that you volunteer to do something, it is your will. Technically, it still "kind of" works as an expression in English. "Guess, I'll go!" still means you intend to do something. When you intend other people's emotions, then it's ... a "guess".

Sir this is a future tense

It is often used for talking about future events, but it is not a simple future tense marker. We have to consider its meaning when we use it.
