- Welcome everyone! I've had all kinds of electric cars for years but have only owned two nitro cars, a 4Tec 3.3 that I still have, and a Slayer 3.3. The 4Tec was my first hobby grade rc car then I got the nitro slayer. I had that for a little while but ended up trading it for a Erevo.
But now I finally bit the bullet and got a nitro slash and its Awesome!

Nice video buddy And great break engine start i remember when i bought HPI baja 5sc was my first step i removed All wheels because when i start the engine not out of the control l😂l and after 3 tank i blow it and play that was in 2013 but now i'm left the nitro and gas no more smell and disturbance i'm happy with the electric

Thanks, i appreciate it. Nitros are cool, but it is nice to just throw a battery in and tear it up and not have to worry about someone complaining about the noise.

Doing break in on exact same truck for a buddy. Same thing.. head bolts loose. 1st time ice ever encountered that with traxxas in all my years of running nitro. Very strange, but fun little truck.
I have a question I'm trying to break mine in and it takes off when I start it this is my first nitro I'm thinking I need to adjust my idle screw but I called my hobby shop and they told me to check my linkage arm which I did mess with it but no change. but when it takes off u can't stop it even with the brake fully applied it still tries to go forward. any help would be appreciated since Traxxas won't return my call when I call customer service.

When it starts, adjust your idle. They can be off from the factory. Small increments counter clockwise.
You can back it off before starting, approx 1/4 turn and see how that works for you

Traxxas sells them, also u can find them at most hobby shops and probably on amazon depending on what color u want.
Does the car have brake?
Yes it does but being this is a 2 wheel drive version only the back wheels have brakes so it skids if u lock them up going fast
Are Nitro Slash good trucks? Looking for my first nitro
Yes theyre good trucks. I just followed the manual for break-in of the motor and been bashing it ever since. I love it just stock up on glow plugs and nitro fuel. I will recommend u get a glow plug egnighter rather than using the ez start thats the only downside.

I think i was running 30% in this video but i have since switched to 25% because a friend of mine gave me a few cans of VP racing fuel he had laying around. most of the time i run Riches Brew from Randy's hobby shop in Houston i get his 30%

No, unfortunately not i want to look into a way to add one, tho.
Slayer pro was better
Yea i had a slayer pro when they first came out but got rid of it for something else. Ill have to get one of those too it is nice having 4 wheel drive.
