Not a great video, to be honest. The footage is terribly chosen, and often does not match up to the narration. This is most noticeable during the morning star and mace sections. The narration appears to come almost verbatim from Wikipedia, while the footage frequently shows the wrong weapons, usually flails. Even the title card of the mace section features the word “MACE” over a picture of a flail; not a mace.
Please, which one is the one I haven't heard of yet? Could only be true for people w/o any knowledge of medieval weaponry. And btw, mace., morning star and flail are mixed up among the picture display, as usual for all people with few knowledge of the correct names and functions.
what's your sources for the morning star? the German/Swiss morgenstern was quite different, though sharing the fact of being a spiked blunt weapon, but it was much larger and made for 2 handed infantry use. Also, please don't mix up mace variants with flail family items.
I love medieval war. Very deadly. The weapons are very interesting and crude but great. Thank you so much for this great video more grease to your elbow and more wisdom always. Amen
man, you seem to be striving for a thumbdown, your initial poleaxe is actually a kind of halberd, and then you show things that are no axes but look a lot more like long shafted hammers, maybe Lucerne hammers. not to mention, the axes with straight edges are better named pollaxes, and have a generally shorter haft for a total length of 5 or 6 feet.
Yo lo is it just me or did everyone else see how the gameing industry that makes rpg's have Warhammer's but not the historical acuterate one's in this video but the two handed types u see a lot I mean come on we all know that that kind should only be allowed too be uesed by demi humans aka Dwarves After all commen sense dictate that there's no way key word no way us normal humans could ever ues that type let alone lift one seriously Bruh!

Puus they aren't very accurate
As someone whose studied medieval weapons and learned to produce them, there isnt many ive not found out about.
As a Weapons fanatic i know about all of them but my most favorite is DEFINITELY the Greatsword. !!!
I've heard of every single one as I'm sure many others have as well.
Morning star seems to have covered the mace

again, please don't mix up maces and flails, they were very different in use, and to a certain extent, served different combat purposes.
I thought you said I’d “never heard of” these weapons?? Not a good video. 😕

It's making about as much sense as a Japanese VCR instruction manual.

How many ways is falchion going to be mispronounced. I can't make it through this video.
